Installation Guide
Front View
Power LED: The power LED lights up when the adapter is
plug to an Express Card 34 slot with or
without a Cardbus device connected to it.
1. Insert the Cardbus device to the Cardbus slot on the
adapter.
2. Slide the Express Card 34 Cardbus adapter to the
Express Card 34 slot on the laptop.
Note: The Express Card 34 Cardbus adapter does not
require a driver. It is the Cardbus device you
connect to the adapter that require drivers
3. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the drivers of
the newly installed Cardbus device.
Hot Swap Feature:
If the Cardbus device supports hotswap, to enable this
feature, you have to unplug the adapter with the Cardbus
device still connected to the adapter. Removing just the
Cardbus device won’t hotswap the device.
P2 Installation:
The P2 card requires a special procedure for installation.
