#2 Phillips Screwdriver
5mm Allen Key
Please note that while the instructions below show a treadmill, they are valid for all 4-series equipment.
1. Use a #2 phillips screwdriver to remove the six
(6) #8-18 x 3/4” screws securing the front of the
console to the back shroud, then remove the
front of the console.
TECH TIP: Take a picture or note where the cables
are plugged into the console as these will need to be
reconnected after installing the PVS.
2. Route the coax cable through the unit - See Page
6.
NOTE: The 4-CT will have the coax cable pre-routed.
3. Use a #2 phillips screwdriver to remove the two
(2) #8-18 x 3/4” screws securing the upper cover
to the rear console shroud, then remove the
cover.
4. Use a 5mm allen key to secure the PVS bracket
to the console using four (4) pieces of the M8 x
20mm button head cap screw.

5. Slide the PVS bracket-compatible upper cover
over the PVS bracket and secure to the rear
console shroud using the #8-18 x 3/4” screws
removed in Step 2.
6. Slide the PVS bracket grommet over the PVS
bracket - be careful of orientation.
7. Use a #2 phillips screwdriver to remove the eight
(8) #8-18 x 3/4” screws securing the rear PVS
shroud, then remove the shroud.

8. Use a #2 phillips screwdriver to remove the four
(4) M4 x 8mm pan head machine screws from the
back of the PVS, then use these screws to secure
the PVS to the PVS bracket.
9. Connect the cables from the neck of the PVS
bracket to the corresponding connections on the
bottom/back of the PVS.

10. Install the rear PVS shroud using a #2 screwdriver
and the screws removed in Step 6, then seat the
PVS grommet to ensure a tight seal between the
PVS and the PVS bracket.

11. Use a #2 phillips screwdriver to remove the screw
securing the blank entertainment insert to the
console front, then install the PVS controller into
the console front and securing using the same
screw.
12. Disconnect the cables from the back of the USB
Panel Assembly, use a #2 phillips screwdriver to
remove the two (2) #8-18 x 3/4” screws securing
the panel to the console, then remove the panel.
TECH TIP: Take a picture or note where the cables
are plugged into the panel as these will need to be
reconnected to the new panel - See Step 12.
13. Install the new panel containing the audio PCB
into the console front, securing with the same
screws, then connect the cables removed in Step
11.
14. Connect the Supplementary Power (Sup. Power)
from the unit neck to the PVS Power.
15. Connect the end of the coax cable routed
through the unit to the end of the coax adapter.
16. Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to
the PVS Audio Extension.

17. Connect the other end of the PVS controller
cable into the PVS controller.
18. Connect the other end of the 3.5mm audio cable
to the audio PCB on the USB Panel Assembly
installed in Step 12.
19. Reconnect the cables from the unit neck to the
console, then secure the console front to the
console rear shroud using the #8-18 x 3/4” screws
removed in Step 1
20. Refer to the PVS owners manual to perform a
channel scan.
