1.1 DP-6 NBDP Terminal
1.1.1 General
These materials are provided to allow an authorized Furuno dealer to
change the ID and Answerback Codes.
1.1.2 ID Codes
1) Press the [F5] key to enter the Station menu.
2) Press the key to select the ID to be entered:
6: Group ID Entry (4/5 digit)
7: Group ID Entry (9 digit)
8: Select ID Entry (4/5 digit)
9: Select ID Entry (9 digit)
3) Press the [Enter] key.
4) Press the [Caps Lock] key.
5) Key in ID (space) CODE.
6) Enter the new ID and press the [Enter] key to save.
1.1.3 Answerback Code
1) Press the [F5] key to enter the Station menu.
2) Press the [5] key to select Answerback Code Entry.
3) Press the [Enter] key.
4) Press the [Caps Lock] key.
5) Key in ANSWER (space) CODE.
6) Enter the new ID and press the [Enter] key to save.

2.1 DSC-60 DSC/Watch Receiver
2.1.1 General
These materials are provided to allow an authorized Furuno dealer to
change the System Settings and MMSI.
2.1.2 System Settings
1) Press the [#/SETUP] key, to enter the Setup menu.
2) Select System and press the [ENT] key.
3) Enter the password, 652111, to turn off the protection.
4) Using the arrow and [ENT] keys, change the settings to match the following:
WATCH RCVR: MF/HF
LINE OUT LEVEL: +0dBm
TX-KEY TIMING: AUTO
RT PORT: MIF
REMOTE STATION: OFF
NBDP PORT: ON
LANGUAGE: ENGLISH
5) When completed press the [CANCEL] key twice, to exit.
2.1.3 MMSI
1) Disconnect the power and the printer cable from the right printer on the
GMDSS console. Remove the printer brackets and the printer from GMDSS
Console.
2) Disconnect the cables from the rear of the DSC-60. Making note of their locations.
3) Remove the 4 screws holding the DSC-60 bracket in the console.
4) Remove the side screws and washers holding the bracket in place.
5) Remove the top cover by removing the 4 side screws, and 1 screw from the rear
panel of the DSC-60.
6) Connect power to the DSC-60.
7) Turn on the unit and wait for the WATCH KEEPING screen to appear.

8) Press the NMI switch located on the front right of the Control/Modem PCB.
9) The unit will now display:
10) Enter the password, 652111. As you enter the password, the unit will emit error tones.
Ignore the error tones as you enter the password.
11) Use the down arrow key to select MMSI Clear. Press the [ENT] key.
12) Enter the 9 digit MMSI number and press the [ENT] key.
13) The display will now show PLEASE POWER OFF. Turn off the DSC-60 power.
14) Turn the DSC-60 power back on.
15) Now verify the MMSI change.
16) Press the [SETUP] key. Use the arrow keys to select SYSTEM.
Press the [ENT] key.
17) The first line of the System screen should be the MMSI you just entered.
18) Reassemble the DSC-60 and the associated equipment.

3.1 Felcom 15
3.1.1 General
These materials are provided to allow an authorized Furuno dealer to
change the IMN.
3.1.2 IMN
1) Press the [F8] key, to enter the Setup menu.
2) Press the [2] key to select the System Setup.
3) Select IMN.
4) While pressing the [ALT] key, type in [I], [M], [N].
5) Now enter the IMN and press the [Enter] key.
6) Press the [Esc] key, then press the [Enter] key.
3.1.3 External Equipment
(Refer to Pg. 20 of the Installation Manual, Felcom 15)
This procedure will allow adding a DMC or additional remote boxes.
1) Press the [F8] key, then the [2] key, to show the System Setup menu.
2) Using the down arrow key, select Command Window and press the [Enter] key.
3) At the Enter Job No.: prompt, enter FURUNOSERVICE, and press
the [Enter] key.
4) At the PASSWORD: prompt, enter FELCOM15, and press the [Enter] key.
5) To show the Remote Box Setup menu, press the [1] key, then the [Enter] key.
6) Press the number key for the equipment that is not connected. In a standard
installation, you would change numbers 4 and 5. If the system includes a
DMC, you would also change number 1.
7) Select [1] for ON or [2] for OFF and press the [Enter] key.
8) When completed, press the [E] key to Exit. Then press the [Esc] key until
you return to the system status screen.

4.1 FM-8800
4.1.1 General
These materials are provided to allow an authorized Furuno Agent or Dealer to
change the MMSI and System Settings.
4.1.2 MMSI Settings
1) Before powering the unit on, install the Protection Key (RC1-800-034) or
a jumper between Pins 2 and 15 of the [PRINTER] port.
2) Turn on the unit and press the [MENU] key, this will open the SYSTEM MENU.
Using the [], down arrow key, select SYSTEM and press the [ENT] key.
3) Enter the password, 652111, then press the [ENT] key.
4) Select SELF ID and press the [ENT] key. ID ENTRY and ID CLEAR will appear as
a pop-up menu.
5) If this is a new install, select ID ENTRY, using the arrow keys. Then press the
[ENT] key. Now enter the ship’s MMSI and press the [ENT] key.
If the MMSI needs to be changed, select ID CLEAR, then press the [ENT] key.
Now return to step 4, to reenter the MMSI.
6) Press [CANCEL], once to continue programming, twice to exit the SETUP MENU.

4.1 FM-8800 (Continued)
4.1.3 General System Settings
This section includes protected operational settings. For other settings
refer to the Operators Manual, FM-8800 (Chapter 4-Basic Setup)
1) From the SYSTEM SETUP MENU, use the [], down arrow key
to select AUTO 1W. If this setting is OFF, press [ENT], select ON and press [ENT].
2) Select AUTO REVERT. This setting determines if the VHF will revert to CH16
when the handset is returned to the cradle. The default is ON and it is changed in the
same manner as AUTO 1W.
3) Select CH MODE and press the [ENT] key. The followoing table will display:
This setting determines the availability of operational modes. The default is
INTL (International) mode ON. Highlight each mode and press [ENT] to change
the setting. When all required modes have been turned ON, press [CANCEL] once.
This will return to the SYSTEM SETUP MENU.
The FM-8800 mounted in the console will have INTL and USA/WX set to ON.

TIMEOUT TIMER. If this setting is OFF, press [ENT], select ON and press [ENT].

operational.

5.1 FS-1570/FS-2570
5.1.1 MMSI
This procedure will allow changing the MMSI, Group ID and Model.
This should performed by an authorized Furuno dealer only.
1) Open the Transceiver and remove the cover from the T-CPU.
(Refer to diagram on the inside cover of the Transceiver)
2) Power on the unit. Press the NMI Switch.
3) Enter the password, 652111.
4) Select MMSI CLEAR and press the [ENT] key.
5) Enter the ship’s MMSI and press the [ENT] key.
5.1.2 Model
1) Open the Transceiver and remove the cover from the T-CPU.
(Refer to diagram on the inside cover of the Transceiver)
2) Power on the unit. Press the NMI Switch.
3) Enter the password, 652111.
4) Select ALL CLEAR and press the [ENT] key.
5) Select the correct model and press the [ENT] key.
6) Enter the ship’s MMSI and press the [ENT] key.

6.1.1 General
