General

1. Installation of the shower ttings must be carried out in accordance with these

instructionsbyqualied,competentpersonnel.

2. Theplumbinginstallationmustcomplywithallnationalorlocalwaterregulationsand

allrelevantbuildingregulations,oranyparticularregulationorpracticespeciedby

thelocalwatersupplycompany.

3. Thepositionoftheshowerttingsmustprovideaminimumairgapof25 mmbetween

theshowerheadandthespilloverlevelofanybath,showertrayorbasin.Theremust

beaminimumdistanceof30 mmbetweentheshowerheadandthespilloverleverof

anytoilet,bidetorotherappliancewithaFluidCategory5backowrisk.

4. Installtheshowerttingsoverawatercatchmentareaandpositionsothatthewater

dischargesdownthecentrelineofthebath,oracrosstheopeningofashowercubicle.

Thehandsetshoulddirectthewaterawayfromtheshowerunit.

Minimummaintainedwaterpressure:0.1bar(10kPa)

Maximummaintainedwaterpressure:5.0bar(500kPa)

5. Donottany formofow controlintheoutletpipe workifthe showerttingsare

installedinconjunctionwithaproductthatrequiresthettingstoactasavent(e.g.

anelectricshower).

6. Donotuseexcessiveforcewhenmakingconnections.

7. Special consideration should be given to the xing arrangements when installing

onto a dry lined, stud partition, shower cubicle or laminated panel wall structures.

Installers may wish to obtain alternative proprietary cavity xings, or choose

other options, however, these methods of xing are beyond the scope of this

guide.

Installation of the Slide Bar

1. Werecommendthattheslidebarisinstalledwiththeendsush.Markthewallxing

positionsanddrilltwoholestosuitthewallxings.

Caution! Do notdrillintohiddencablesorpipesinthewall.

Note!Foranewinstallationoptimumxingcentresare635 mm.Replacementinstallation

xingcentresare635 mmmaximum.

2. Fitthewallplugsandthemountingbracketsandsecurewiththewallscrews.

Note!Checkforverticalalignmentbeforetightening.Themountingbracketsareslotted

toaidthisalignment.Thenfullytighten.

3. Fittheclampbracket(rotatethelevertohelpwiththeinstallation),thehoseretaining

ring(ifapplicable)andtheslidebarsupportstotheslidebar.

4. Makesurethatthewallscrewsareushwiththeinsideedgeofthemountingbrackets.

 Fittheslidebarsupportsoverthemountingbrackets,thenadjusttheslidebarvertically

ensuringanequallength ofslidebar protrudesfromthetopand bottommounting

bracket(orushwiththeendoftheslidebarfornewinstallations).

5. Removetheslidebarassemblycarefully,preventinganyfurthermovementbetween

theslidebarandtheslidebarsupports.

6. Tightenthetwoslidebarclampingscrewsnomorethanhalfaturntosecuretheslide

barsupportstotheslidebar.

Caution!Overtighteningthesescrewswillcausedamage.

7. Fittheslidebarassemblyoverthemountingbrackets.Tightenthe2xM 4screwswith

the3 mmhexagonalkeysupplied.

Caution! Do notforceassembly ontothe mountingbrackets,re-align aslidebar

supportifrequired.

Installation of the Showerhead and Hose

1. Fitahosesealintotheconicalnutandscrewontotheoutletoftheshower.

Caution! Do notovertighten.

2. Feedthehosethroughthehoseretainingloopofthesoapdishorthehoseretainingring.

3. Fitahosesealintotheconicalnutandscrewontotheshowerhead.

Caution! Do notovertighten.

4. Placetheshowerheadintotheclampbracket.

Installation of the Soap Dish (if applicable)

1. Looselysecurethetaperblockintothesoapdishwiththesoapdishscrew.

2. Insertthesoapdishassemblyintotheslidebarandtightenthescrew.

Caution! Do notovertighten.

Inspecting the hose

Important! Theshowerhoseshouldbeinspectedperiodicallyfordamageorinternalcollapse,

internalcollapsecanrestricttheowratefromtheshowerheadandmaycausedamagetothe

shower.Removetheshowerhosefromtheshower,inspectandreplacethehoseifnecessary.

De-scaling the Showerhead

Important!Keepingtheshowerheadcleanandfreefromlimescalewillensurethatyourshower

andshowerheadcontinuetoperformtotheirmaximum.Ablockedshowerheadcanrestrict

theowrateandmaycausedamagetoyourshower.
