SETTING UP THE DIFF LOCKING SYSTEM

1. Make sure the locking lever, diff lock ring, and related parts in the axle and differential all operate smoothly and with minimal effort before

continuing to install your remote Diff-Lock Kit.

2. Set the end point adjustments in the radio for the micro diff locking servo to +/- 10% to prevent any damage to the servo.

3. Set the servo horn travel so that the cable clevis comes almost in contact with the back of the red aluminum cable adjuster. This is the locked position for

the Diff-Lock. See figure A. The unlocked position will be adjusted later.

4. Tighten the cable in this position.

5. On the axle, pull the cable slightly to remove the slack.

6. Set the locking lever to the counter clockwise position and hold it there. This is the locked position for the differential. See figure A. You can use the

screws, VEN-8314 and VEN-8315, to hold this position if you like but remember to loosen them before activating the servo.

7. Tighten the locking lever set screw to set the position of the cable and lever.

8. Move the servo to the unlocked position. See figure B. When the differential is unlocked and the locking lever stops this will be the maximum travel servo

position. Adjust the travel 1% at a time until the servo shows some resistance and stop there.

9. Cycle the servo from locked to unlock and fine tune the cable tension as needed. Be careful not to over stress the servo and damage it.

10. Twist the suspension and activate the servo to make sure the differential will lock and unlock in any situation.

11. Once adjusted correctly, the differential will lock and unlock with little effort in any position.
