INSTRUCTION – REINFORCING GUSSET ON HEADER FRAME LEG
A-SERIES AUGER HEADER
To reinforce A-Series Auger Header frame legs and prevent fatigue cracks at the
lower conditioner roll mounts on the header leg, weld gussets 170373 qty 1 at both
Header legs as follows:
Remove jack at
RH header leg
Remove deflector at
RH header leg
Remove shield at
LH header leg
Remove deflector at
LH header leg

Install defectors at LH and RH header leg. Install shield at LH header leg and Jack at RH
header leg.
Position gusset on header leg
and weld along highlighted lines.
Weld all around inside of hole in gusset.
Note: Gusset at RH leg is shown. (similar at
LH header leg).
