PRECAUTIONS
Do not attempt to disassemble the camera! There are no user-
serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service
personnel.
Handle the camera with care. Improper handling or storage
could damage the camera.
Do not expose the camera to moisture, or try to operate it in wet
areas. Should the camera become wet, immediately
turn power
off and refer servicing to qualified personnel.
Never face the camera towards the sun, even when not in use!
Use caution when operating the camera in the vicinity of
spotlights or other bright lights and light reflecting objects.
Do not operate the camera beyond its temperature, humidity or
power supply ratings. Use the camera under conditions where
temperatures are within –5°C to +45°C, and relative humidity is
below 80% (non condensing).
When the camera is not in use, ensure the lens is kept properly
in place to protect the CCD sensor.

INSTALLATION
Prepare Mounting Location
Select an appropriate location for
the camera. Using the supplied
template, mark and drill holes for
three mounting screws and one
additional hole for wall cabling.
Hard surface mounting
For hard surface mounting, prepare
screw holes for appropriate
hardware (solid wall anchors, etc.).
For surface wiring, a knock out tab
is provided on the camera base,
opposite the ADEMCO logo.
Connecting the Cables
CAUTION: Be sure that power is
off before connecting camera!
Check 12vDC polarity before
proceeding, since incorrect polarity
may damage the camera.
1. If using 12VDC, connect ( + ) to
the red wire and ( - ) to the black
wire using the supplied flying
leads. If using 24VAC, polarity
is not important; connect either
way.
2. Connect the video cable to the
camera’s BNC connector.
3. Insert excess wiring into the wall.
Mounting the Camera Body
Align the housing to the marked and
drilled holes, and use three screws
to mount the camera body.
NOTE: Rotate the camera unit
inside the housing to gain access to
the mounting holes!
NOTE: Choose screws suitable for
the type of ceiling or wall material.
Counter-sunk screws with a
diameter of 4mm to 5mm are
recommended.

ADJUSTMENT
1. AGC, BLC & FL switch settings (side of camera body)
Set according to lighting conditions
Back Light Compensation (BLC) ON/ OFF:
When strong, unwanted background lighting interferes
with the clarity of important areas, turn this switch to
the “ON” position.
The BLC compensates to back light conditions in the
central area.
Auto Gain Control (AGC) ON/OFF:
Switching the AGC on will improve camera sensitivity in
low light conditions.
Flickerless mode (FL):
Used if interference from fluorescent lighting is detected
on video picture
2. Adjusting the Camera Position
The camera body moves in three axes: Pan, Tilt, and
Rotate. Adjust the camera orientation so that the lens is
aimed at the subject.
3. Adjusting Angle & Focus
Use the levers to adjust the
focus and field of view.
Loosen thumbscrews to
unlock levers, then retighten
after adjustment.
4. Adjusting the DC Iris Level
This is factory set and does not
normally require adjustment. If adjustment is required:
Turn the dipswitch Auto Gain Control (AGC) to OFF.
Using a suitable screwdriver, adjust the DC iris level.
Turn the dipswitch Auto Gain Control (AGC) to ON.
5. Completing the Adjustment and Installation
Install the black plastic camera shroud
Carefully attach the dome cover.
Check connections are secure and that field of view
and focus are correct
