1. Introduction
In some application it is necessary to identify a transponder over a longer distance than it is
possible with a standard portable reader. To achieve reading in such situations, our AEA080
stick antenna offers an extension, up to app. 150 cm in total, to identify a transponder in with the
APR300/350 Handheld or the AIR200 Reader for the PSION TEKLOGIX Workabout Pro.
2. Specifications
Antenna: AEA080
Coverage transponder: HDX, FDX-B (ISO 11784/5), H4002, dependent on
the reader settings
Length of antenna: 800 mm
Reading distance: up to 170 mm with FDX-B transponder Ø 30 mm
up to 250 mm with HDX transponder Ø 30 mm
Length connecting cable: app. 1200 mm
Diameter connecting cable: 4 mm
Weight antenna (cable incl.): 285 g
3. Installation of the AEA080 antenna
1.
Remove the protection cap from the connector
beside the antenna of the APR Handheld.
2.
Now fit the plug of the AEA080 antenna cable
to the socket.

There is a tiny nose inside of the antennas
plug to lead into the correct orientation.
Please do not use force, to fit both together.
The plug has to slip in easily. Otherwise the
pins of the plug might be destroyed.
Now screw in the plug of the antenna cable to
fix it.

You can start reading immediately after the
attachment of the antenna. No additional
settings at the reader are required.

Please do not forget to lock the protection cap
at the reader socket after removing the
antenna.

4. Safety and care
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage resulting from improper use or use not
consistent with that described in these operating instructions.
The AEA antenna contains no parts that can be repaired by the user. For this reason it may
only be repaired by authorised customer service personnel.
In both operation and storage of the antenna please secure to comply with the environment
conditions specified in the technical data.
Clean the AEA antenna only with a damp cloth. Use only water and any commercially
available cleaning agent.
Any modification to the AEA antenna will render the warranty null and void.
5. Warranty
The manufacturer of the AEA antenna will provide a warranty of
12 months
from the day the device is shipped and subject to the following conditions:
a. Without submission of proof of purchase no warranty can be given.
b. In the event that defects are detected the manufacturer is entitled to choose between up to
two attempts at repair or supplying a replacement device on one occasion. The warranty
period for the repaired item or for a replacement item is 3 months but will always extend to
the end of the original warranty period. No further claims can be entertained, especially
claims for compensation for consequential losses. This exclusion of liability does not apply to
claims made on the basis of the Product Liability Act.
c. Warranty claims cannot be entertained unless the Agrident system was installed properly
and used properly and for the purpose intended.
No warranty obligations exist in particular when:
1. Damage is attributable to improper use of the device, to an incorrect connection or incorrect
operator action;
2. The device was not cared for and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's
recommendations and this is the cause of the damage;
3. The damage is due to any modification to the device;
4. The damage is due to force majeure, for example, lightning strike;
5. The damage is due to wear resulting from overstressing mechanical parts.
