Manual ADSL configuration guide
The following guide shows how to manually configure a Technicolor TG582n
router to work with an ADSL circuit.
We recommend beforehand disabling wireless on the PC/laptop, connecting
via Ethernet, and factory resetting the router.
Using Internet Explorer navigate to 192.168.1.254
Select ‘Technicolor Gateway’
Select ‘Setup my Technicolor Gateway’ from the Pick a task menu.

A new window will open, select ‘Next’.
Select ‘ADSL (standard)’ from the service menu and click ‘Next’.

Enter in your ADSL username and password as provided and click ‘Next’.
You can change the default SSID and passkey if required however we
recommend leaving it to the defaults. Click ‘Next’.

You can change the default access username and password if required. We
recommend leaving the username as default and set the password to the serial
number of the router.
Click ‘Next’.
Just click ‘Start’ on the following screen and this will configure the router. It is
normal for the router to reboot and take a few minutes to establish a
connection.
If you have changed the access username and/or password it is normal to be
logged out of the router.
