Lionel FLATCAR Owner's manual

Congratulations on your purchase of the

new Lionel flatcar with lumber load.

Some minor assembly is required in order to

achieve the polished look of this unique

piece of rolling stock. Please refer to the pic-

ture below for helpful assembly tips.

First, unpack the eight (8) metal stakes

and snap them into the square openings on

the flatcar. Note that the stakes should be

placed with the flat side against the wood to

minimize any damage to the wood pieces.

Then, unpack the twelve (12) lumber

pieces and place them horizontally on the

flatcar in two sections of six pieces each, sup-

ported by the three lumber holders. Your flat-

car is now loaded and ready to roll.

If you are using your forklift accessory*

to load/unload the lumber, we recommend

that you remove the four metal stakes from

either side of the car. This will allow the fork-

lift to have a full range of motion to get the

job done.

original #264 Operating Forklift Platform.
