Whenarchivingdata,Raymarinerecommendstheuseofquality
brandedmemorycards.Somebrandsofmemorycardmaynot

Raymarineequipmentandaccessoriesconformtothe
appropriateElectromagneticCompatibility(EMC)regulations,

transducer
Thisproductissuppliedwithatransommounttransducer.The
guidelinesbelowshouldbefollowedwhenselectingalocation
forthetransducer.
Note:Thetransducerisnotsuitableformountingonvessels
wherethetransomisaftofthepropeller(s).
Forbestperformancethetransducermustbeinstalledina
locationwiththeleastturbulenceandaeration.Themost
effectivewaytodeterminethisisbycheckingthewaterow
aroundthetransomwhilstunderway.
Thetransducershouldbemountedclosetothekeel
(centreline)ofthevessel,sothatthetransducerremainsfully
submergedwhenthevesselisturning.
Thetransducermustbemountedasuitabledistancefrom
thepropeller(s)toavoidwake.
Forclockwiserotatingpropellersthetransducershouldbe
mountedonthestarboardside,foranti-clockwiserotating
propellersthetransducershouldbemountedontheportside.

Onatwinenginevesselthetransducershouldbemounted
betweentheengines.

Turbulencecanalsobecausedbyanumberofotherfactors
suchassteps,ribs,strakes,androwsofrivets.Theturbulence
appearsaftoftheselocations.
