DownloadtheTuyaSmartappfromyourappstore
OncedownloadedtheTUYAiconwillapearonyourdevice’shomescreen,youcannowopenthisappby
tappingtheicon.
Followthedirectionsintheapptocreateanaccount,avalidemailaddresswillberequiredtocompletethe
accountsetupprocess.Onceyouraccountissetupyouwillreceiveanumberofpermissionspleasefollowthe
onscreenprompts.

STEP 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TUYA SMART APP AND CREATE A USER ACCOUNT

Nowyoucanbegintheprocessofconnectingyourappliancetotheapp.Atthehomescreenpresstheadddevice
button.
Oncethepasswordhasbeenenteredyouwillbepresentedwithachecklisttoensuretroublefreeconnectionof
yourappliancetothenetwork.Youmayalsobeaskedtoallowlocationpermissions,pleaseread,andfollowtheon
screeninformation.
STEP 2 – CONNECT YOUR APPLIANCE TO THE APP

Afteryouhavegonethroughthepermissionsyouwillthenneedtochoosewhichdevicetopair,pleaseselectsmall
homeappliancesfromthemenuasshownbelow:
NowfromthelistofsmallhomeappliancesselectHeater(WiFi).ThiswillthenpromptyoutoenteryourWiFi
password,ensurethecorrectnetworkisselectedenteryourWiFipasswordthenpressthenextbutton.

Nowtheappwillpromptyoutoresetthedevicethisisreferringtoplacingyourfireintopairingmode.Before
tappingnextyouwillneedtoputyourapplianceintopairingmode.Ensurethefireisswitchedonbefore
commencingandpressandholdtheWiFibuttononyourfirelocatedontheundersideofthetoprighthandcorner
ofthefire,asshownbelowuntilfuelbedflashesred.

OncethefireisplacedinpairingmodewithaflashingredfuelbedtapthenextbuttonontheappandchoosetheBlink
Quicklybuttonthiswillthenbegintosearchforthefire,whenithassuccessfullypairedthefirefuelbedwilldisplaya
solidgreencolour.

Pleasenote,thefirefuelbedcolourindicatesthestatusofthefirewhenfirstinitiatingthepairingthefuelbedwill
flashred.Oncesuccessfullypairedthefuelbedwilldisplaygreen.Ifaflashingbluefuelbedappearscheckyour
connectionandrepeatthepairingprocedure.

OnsuccessfulpairingyoucannowusetheVisionELineapptocontrolyourappliance.Yourappliancewillnowbe
listedasadeviceintheTuyahomescreen.SelecttheappliancetobeginusingtheVisionSolusapp.Toturnthefire
onusethepowerbuttonashighlightedintheillustraionbelow.


AdvancedWiFiRouterGuidance
Pleaseseethebelowthewirelessfrequenciesthataretypicallyavailableinyourhome,inordertoconnectyour
Solusappliance,youwillneedtochoosefrequencynumber1.TheTuyaappwillnotworkonfrequencies2&3.
Typically,mostrouterswillconfiguretothesetappliancefrequency.Yournetworkproviderwillbeabletotellyouif
yourroutersettingiscompatible.
2.4GHz‐Thisfrequencycanprovideagreaterrangeatslowerspeeds
5GHz‐Thisfrequencycanprovideagreaterspeed,butatareducedrange
6GHz‐Thisisanewfrequency,anditcanprovidegreaterspeeds,butatareducedrange
Therangeofwirelesstransmissionscanreduceathighfrequencies,becauseatthoselevelstheydoencounter
difficultieswhentryingtopenetratethroughsolidobjects,theseobjectscanbestructural,orgeneralbuildingfabrics,
suchasmetalframework,walls&floors.
ForthebestpossibleconnectiontoyourSolusappliance,thelocationofyourwirelessrouterinrelationtoyour
applianceiskey:
Iftherearecertainareasofyourhomewhereyoufindyoursignaldrops,itmaybeduetoablockage.
Largeobjectscanoftenobstructorinterferewithawirelessconnection,soit'sbesttokeepyourrouteroffthe
groundandawayfromlargeritems.
Steerclearfromputtingyourrouterbehindthesofa,insideacabinetorbehindadoor‐althoughitlookstidy,ifyou
areexperiencinganissuethiscouldbethecauseaproblem.Youshouldalsokeepelectronicssuchasmicrowaves,
lamps,speakers,TVsandmonitorsasfarawayfromtherouteraspossible.
Ifissuesareencounteredwhentryingtoconnectyourappliance,ourbestadvicewouldbetofollowthebelow:
Checkthelocationoftheapplianceinrelationtothewirelessrouter,arethereanyobjectsthatmaybecausinga
problemwiththesignal?Checkifyouareexperiencingthesameconnectionproblemacrossotherdevices,youcan
dothisbycheckingtheirWifistatus.Typicaldevicestobecheckedwouldbeyourmobilephone,tablet,laptop,or
evenyourTV.
Tryaddinganewdevicetoyourwirelessnetworkthiswillverifythatthewirelesspassword&SSIDarecorrect.
Areyouusingwirelessextenders?Ifso,turnoffallwirelessextendersandaddtryaddinganewdevice(amobile
phoneforexample)inthesamelocationasyourwirelessrouter.ThisconfirmsthatyourWirelessrouterisaccepting
newdeviceswithoutissue.
Thelaststepwouldbetoresetthewirelessrouter.
TROUBLESHOOTING

Tipsandadvice:
Iftheapplianceisinstalledoutoftherangeofyourwirelessnetwork,theWiFisignalwillnotbedetectedbythe
appliance.Itmaybetoofarawayfromyourrouter.Youmayneedtopurchaseasignalboostertoextendtherange
ofyourhomenetwork.YoucanpurchaseaWiFiboosterformanycomputerstore,onlineoranelectricalretailer.
HowdoIknowifmyWiFisignalisstrongenoughoriftheapplianceisoutofrange?
Simplystandinfrontoftheapplianceholdingthedeviceincloseproximitytothecontrolpanel,youwillfindthison
thefrontoftheappliance.Byusinganexistingdevice,thatisalreadyconnectedtothewirelessnetwork,thiscould
beaphoneortablet,andthenseeiftheWiFiindicatorshowsthatyouhavesignal?Ifthesignalstrengthisnotfull,
itmayindicateconnectivityissue.Iftheyaregreyedoutoronly1or2barsareshowing,thenthesignalstrengthof
yourhomenetworkwillneedboosting,inorderforyourTuyaapptocontroltheappliance.
Iftheconnectionproblemspersistandyouareunabletoconnecttotheappliance,pleasecontactyournetwork
providerforadviceonthebestsolution.
