LQPK SORPTION FILTER (ACTIVE CARBON)

The ability of the carbon filter cylinders to absorb gases and odours

deteriorates with use. At present, there is no short-cut method for

determining the remaining useful life of the filter medium. However,

the following can be used as a rule of thumb: Whenever the need

for collecting strong odours arises and these odours are equally

perceptible both upstream and downstream of the filter, then it is time

to change the filter media. The normal useful life ranges from 6 months

to one year.

To minimize the time required for servicing of the instal-lation, it is

advisable that a new set of filter cassettes/ cylinders or replacement

carbon filter media always be available.
