Important safeguards
· Before the first connecting of the appliance check that voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds to the mains voltage in your home.
· Do not use the color television for any other purposes than those described in this instruction manual.
· Do not use outdoors.
· Always unplug the color television from the power supply when not in use and before cleaning.
· Do not expose the appliance to rain or moisture.
· Do not install the appliance near bathtub, laundry tub, etc.
· Do not place the appliance near heat sources such as radiators or gas/electric fires.
· It also should not be placed in temperatures less than 5ºC or greater than 40ºC.
· Do not place hot objects such as candles or nightlights on, or close to the appliance. High temperatures can melt plastic and lead to the fire.
· Do not block or cover the ventilation holes. Allow 10 cm clearance from the rear and the top of the appliance, and 5 cm from each side.
· Do not place the appliance on a bed, rug or similar surface that may block the ventilation openings.
· Do not place the appliance in a built-in installation such a bookcase, cabinet or airtight rack where ventilation may be impeded.
· Place the appliance on a flat level surface avoiding anywhere, which may be subject to strong vibration.
· The appliance should be moved with care, as the weight balance is not even. Do not place heavy objects on the appliance.
· Do not allow anyone, especially children, to push anything into the slots or any other openings in the cabinet.
· Do not allow children to play with the remote control.
· Do not place the appliance near appliances, which may cause electromagnetic interference, such as microwave ovens or loudspeakers.
· For added protection against lightning, or when left unattended and unused for an extended period of time, unplug the appliance from the power supply.
· Do not leave the appliance switched on when you do not use it.
· Do not operate after malfunction or damage of cord.
· Do not handle the plug with wet hands.
· Do not attempt to repair, adjust or replace parts in the appliance. Repair the malfunctioning appliance in the nearest service center.

Preparation
Connecting to an aerial or cable television network
To view television channels correctly, a signal must be received by the set from one of the following sources:
- an outdoor aerial;
- a cable television network.
1. Connect the aerial or network input cable to the coaxial socket on the rear of the television.
2. Insert the plug into the power supply.
3. Switch ON using the button on the front panel. The indicator light on the TV lights in red.
NOTE:
· The indicator light on the front panel TV lights in red in standby mode.
· When you switch on the television the indicator light is dies out.
· The power turns off approximately 30 minutes after a TV station has stopped broadcasting.
Connecting the equipment to the input/outputs
Location the Audio/Video connector is depending on the television model.
1. The Audio/Video connector on the side of the TV is used for Av equipment.
With AV button you can select video and audio inputs.
2. With TV/AV button you can select the signal from other equipment such as VCR or CD video player.
Inserting the batteries in the remote control
1. Detach the battery cover on the rear of the remote control and insert two batteries size AA according to the diagram in the battery compartment.
2. Press the button on the remote control and TV screen should light up.

Power (Stand By) button
Press this button to tern the TV on/off. Press any Number PROG-, PROG+ Button,
picture and sound will come on within a few seconds.
MUTE
Mute button
Press once to mute the sound, press again to return to previously set sound level.
SYS
Sound system button
Press this button to select the correct sound system.

Program selection button
Push the number for your desired program and the program indicator will be displayed
on the screen. Press -/-- key to select one digit or two digit entry, to select program 0-
9, use one digit entry, to select 10-99 use two digits entry. Press number key 0-99 for
program selection. Press the number keys to select Teletext pages in Teletext mode.
PROG +/-
PROG-, PROG+ button
Press the PROG+ button to select the program forwards. Press the PROG- button to
select the program backwards. (Use this button for page up/down to
increase/decrease page number in Teletext mode.)
VOL+/-
Volume up/down buttons
Press volume up/down buttons to adjust sound level.
P.P.
Personal presets button
You can select DYNAMIC, MILD, COLORFUL, STANDARD and CUSTOM by
pressing this button.
Recall button
Press this button sequentially to recall for the program number, color system and
sound system on the screen.
SLEEP
Sleep button
This key is used to set the sleep timer in 15 minutes step up to two hours. When the
preset time runs to 0. TV set will go into stand by mode. To switch off this function,
press this key step by step until  is displayed on the screen.

LOCK
Lock button
The key is to prevent a child watching the TV.
Q.VIEW
Press this button to return to the previously viewed program.
AV
AV button
Press this button to display external video signal such as VCR or CD video player. AV
will be displayed on the screen. Press this button again to switch back to TV signal from
AV.
MENU
Menu button
Use MENU button for tuning procedure.
REVEAL*
(Option)
Display hidden characters. Press this button repeatedly to switch between CONCEAL
MODE and REVEAL MODE
REVEAL MODE CONCEAL MODE
Conceal mode will always be resumed when any of the Teletext key is pressed except
REAVEAL key.
SIZE*
(Option)
The top or bottom half of any page can be enlarged Teletext character size to double
height by pressing this button.
STOP*
(Option)
Stop page acquisition on current page to prevent text to be updated.
CLOCK*
(Option)
Display the time on the top right corner of the screen.
INDEX*
(Option)
In Teletext mode press to start the search of displayed page again.
OFF* and
ON/MIX*
(Option)
Off and on/mix button
You can select the following modes by pressing these buttons.

SUBPAGE*
(Option)
Subpage button
Page number may contain several subpages which are automatically page in a certain
cycle by the TV station. Press this button once. 0001 will be displayed on screen, enter
number key (0-9) to look for other subpages if available. If there is no subpage, ****
will be displayed. To cancel this, press this button again.

Color buttons
In Teletext mode, the same color page number which is on the bottom of screen will
respond to pressing these color keys.
NOTE: * - these buttons are applicable only to Teletext models.
Front panel controls (depending on the model)
If you lose the remote control or if remote control is broken, you can use the front panel controls, that:
· switch on the television ( button)
· select the channel (ROG+ and ROG- buttons)
· increase/decrease volume (VOL+ or VOL- buttons)
· local menu display (MENU button)
· select the TV or AV modes (TV/AV button)
· mute the sound (MUTE button)
MENU
1. Press this button to select menu. PRESET, PICTURE, SYSTEM and TIME menu can be selected cyclically.

2. After enters each menu, you can select the item which you will adjust by PROG+ and PROG- buttons, and adjust this item by VOL+ or VOL- buttons.
* The item which you select will change blue.
Preset menu
1. CHANNEL
In this item, you can store the channel number which are watching, and change the cannel number by VOL+ or VOL- buttons (on number keys).
2. SKIP
You can set ON by VOL+ or VOL- buttons if you want to cancel the channel number which you are watching.
3. BAND
You can select V-L, V-H or UHF.
4. ASM.SIF
You can select 6.0M, 4.5M, 6.5M or 5.5M.
5. FINE
To tune in weak station this item must be used.

6. SEARCH
Press VOL+ or VOL- buttons to start searching. The VOL- button searches for lower-numbered channels. When a TV station signal is received, the
searching will stop.
7. ASM
Press VOL+ or VOL- buttons, then the TV set will automatically search from V-L band to U band.
Picture menu
· You can select BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST, COLOR, SHARPNESS and TINT item by PROG+ or PROG- buttons, and adjust the item, which you
select by VOL+ or VOL- buttons.
TINT is displayed only for NTSC and is not available for PAL or SECAM.
System menu
1. LANGUAGE
You can select the English or Russian language by VOL+ or VOL- buttons.
2. COL.SYS
You can change present color system in this item
3. SIF.SYS
You can change present sound system in this item
4. BLUE SCREEN
You can switch on BLUE SCREEN in this item
5. LOGO
You can switch on LOGO in this item
Time menu
1. CLOCK
You can adjust the currently time by this item. Press the VOL+ button set hour, and the VOL- button set minute.
2. TIMING

If you set the item is TIMING ON, you can set the time of TV ON and TV OFF.
3. TV ON
Set the time when the TV set turn on.
4. TV OFF
Set the time when the TV set turn off.
5. AWOKE
Selecting AWOKE ON, you can set the AWTIME item.
6. AWTIME
Set the awake time that you want. If you set the AWTIME is 12:00, the WATCH TIME 11:58:00 will display on the screen for awaking you. It will
disappear from the screen unit WATCH TIME 12:00:00.
Selecting program
· Use 0-9 digit buttons to call directly on the program number that you want. If you want to select a double digits program number, firstly press -/--
button, then input the two digits.
· Program number can also be changed by PROG+ or PROG- buttons. Press the PROG+ button, program number will increase. Press the PROG- button,
program number will decrease.
Child locked
· The TV set can provide the locked key for control or prevent your children from watching the program. To set the key press the LOCK button on remote
unit. The key locked ( ) is displayed on the screen. Then the symbol will disappear after five seconds and enter child locked mode. You can not use
any key on the TV set. You can cancel this mode by pressing the LOCK button again.
Using teletext (depending on the model)
Most televisions channels provide a written information service via Teletext. Information provided includes:
· Television program times
· News bulletins
· Whether forecasts
· Sport results
· Travel information

To activate the Teletext mode and display the contents page, follow the instructions below:
1. Select the channel providing the Teletext service.
2. Press the ON/MIX button to activate the Teletext mode. The contents page is displayed.
3. Enter the page number you want on the remote control. Your TV searches for the page.
4. Select a new page by entering the new page number.
5. To return to your TV picture press OFF button.
6. When you have displayed a Teletext page, you can select various options to suit your requirements:
To display ... Press the ...
· both the Teletext information and the normal broadcast
ON/MIX
· hidden text (answers to quiz games, for example)
· the screen normally again
REVEAL
· the current page not to be updated
STOP
· to letters the upper or lower half of page
