Poweringonthedisplay
WhenpowerisavailabletotheMFDbuttheMFDisswitchedoff,the
Powersymbolwillbeilluminated.
Topoweronthedisplay:
1.SwipeyourfingerfromlefttorightacrossthePowerbuttonswipe
area.
TheMFDwillpowerup.
Poweringoffthedisplay
1.SwipeyourfingerfromlefttorightacrossthePowerbuttonswipe
area.
TheShortcutsmenuisdisplayed.
2.Pressandholdthe
Powersymboluntilthescreenswitchesoff.
Note:Whenpoweredoff,theunitmaystilldrawasmallamountof
powerfromthebattery,ifthisisaconcernunplugthepowersupply
orswitchoffatthebreaker.

Switchingonandoffatthebreaker
IfyouwishtoensurethattheMFDisnotconsuminganypower
thenitmustbeswitchedoffatthebreakerorhavethepowercable
unplugged.
Whenthebreakerisswitchedbackon,orthecableisreconnected,
theMFDwillresumeinthesamepowerstatethatitwasinwhen
itwasswitchedoff.
FirstpowerupDatamasterselection
Networkscontainingmorethan1MFDmusthaveadesignatedData
master.TheDatamasteristheprimaryMFDinthenetworkandshould
betheMFDthatisconnectedtotheSeaTalkng®/NMEA2000CAN
busnetworkandanyotherdevicesandsourcesofdatainyoursystem.
TheDatamasterbridgesthedataovertheSea Talkhsnetworktoany
compatiblenetworked‘repeater’MFDs.
BydefaultyourMFDwillbesetasaDatamaster.Ifyouareconnecting
toanetworkthatalreadyincludesMFDsthenonfirstpowerupyou
willberequestedtoconfirmyourDatamaster.
The“MultipleDatamastersfound”warningwillbedisplayedwhenever
anewMFDisaddedtoyournetwork.
Y oucanchangeyourDatamasteratanytimebyselectingAssignas
DatamasteragainstaMFDlistedintheNetworktaboftheSettings
menu:
Homescreen>Settings>Network.
Startupwizard
IftheMFDisbeinginstalledasastandaloneinstallationoraspartof
anewsystem,thenthefirsttimetheMFDispowereduptheStartup
wizardwillbedisplayed.TheStartupwizardwillhelpyouconfigure
importantsettingsonyourMFD.
Followtheonscreeninstructionsandconfiguretherelevantsettings.
TheStartupwizardwillalsobedisplayedaftera
Factoryresetis
performed.

Datasourcesmenu
Whenasystemincludesmultiplesourcesofadatatype,suchasdepth
data,thesystemwillchoosethemostappropriatesourceforthedata.
Ifyouprefer,youcanmanuallyselectyourowndatasource.
TheDatasourcesmenucanbeaccessedonyourDatamasterMFD,
fromthe
Settingsmenu:Homescreen>Settings>Network>Data
sources.
Eachtabenablesyoutoviewandselectyourpreferreddatasource.
Thecurrentlyactivedatasourcewilldisplayitscurrentvalueinuse.
Datasourceselectioncanbemanualorsettoautomatic:

Identifyingengines
EnginedatacanbedisplayedonyourMFDifyourenginesare
transmittingtherelevantsupporteddataontotheMFDnetwork.If
yoursystemhasmislabelledyourenginesthenyoucancorrectthis
usingtheEngineidentificationwizard.
TheEngineidentificationwizardcanbeaccessedfromtheBoatdetails
tab:
Homescreen>Settings>Boatdetails>Identifyengines.
1.Ensurethecorrectnumberofenginesisselectedinthe
Numof
Engines:box.
2.Select
Identifyengines.
3.Followtheonscreenpromptstocompletetheengineidentification
wizard.

ConfiguringTransducersettings
ForsystemssetupwithSonar,youshouldconfigureyourtransducer
settings.
1.SelectTransducerfromtheSonarappsSettingsmenu:Menu
>Settings>Transducer
2.Selecthowyouwantyourdepthtoappear:
i.Belowtransducer(default)Nooffsetrequired
ii.BelowkeelEnterthedistancebetweenthetransducerface
andthebottomoftheKeel.
iii.Belowwaterline—Enterthedistancebetweenthebottomof
yourKeelandthewaterline.
3.Ifyourtransducerincludesatemperaturesensorthenyoucanalso
configuretemperaturesettingsasfollows:
i.Enableordisabletemperaturereadingsasrequired.
ii.Ifenabled,checkthetemperaturereadingagainsttheactual
watertemperature.
iii.Ifthecurrentreadingrequiresadjustment,select
Calibrate
tempandenterthedifferencebetweenyour2readings.

1.PullbackthemicroSDcardreadercoverasshownabove.
2.InsertyoumicroSDcardwiththecontactsfacingdown.
3.Closethecoverandensureitisseatedcorrectly.
Memorycardcompatibility
MicroSDmemorycardscanbeusedtobackup/archivedata(e.g.
Waypoints,RoutesandTracks).Oncedataisbackeduptoamemory
card,olddatacanbedeletedfromthesystem.Thearchiveddatacan
beretrievedatanytime.Itisrecommendedthatyourdataisbacked
uptoamemorycardonaregularbasis.

Y oucanshareyourMFDwithotherusersbycreatinguserprofileson
yourMFD.Profilesenableyoutoretainyourownpersonalsettings
whilstlettingotheruserspersonalizetheMFD’ssettingstotheir
preference.
Note:UserdatasuchasWaypoints,Routes,Tracks,imagesand
videorecordingsetc.willbeavailabletoallusers.
Y oucanaccesstheProfilespagebyselectingtheProfileIcononthe
Homescreen.

SelectingthePlus(+)iconwillcreateanewprofilebasedontheprofile
thatiscurrentlyinuse.
MFDsettingschangesareuniquetotheprofileinuseandareretained
thenexttimetheprofileisused.
Thedistanceandtimethataprofilehasbeenactiveisdisplayedfor
eachprofile.
Profilenamesandiconscanbecustomized.Youcanalsoresetthe
distanceandtimeforeachprofile.
AGuestprofileisavailablefortemporaryusers.Settingchangestothe
Guestprofilearenotretained.EachtimetheGuestprofileisactivated
thesettingsarebasedonthelastusedprofile.
WhentheMFDisrebootedthelastusedprofilewillbeactive.
Demoprofilesarealsoavailabletohelpyoupracticeoperatingyour
MFDwithsimulateddata.

Selectingthe
MydataiconfromtheHomescreenprovidesaccessto
userdatasuchas
Waypoints,Routes,Tracks,Tripdataandmedia
Files.Y oucanalsoImport/exportUserdatafromtheMydatamenu.
