Basic Principle
Connect the tester to communication line of the unit in parallel as shown below:
1.Self-diagnosis of Indoor and Outdoor Units:

Description of Appearance and Buttons
Operation
There is LCD and buttons on tester to facilitate the operation. LCD display
the users menu and useful information. Buttons is used for choosing operation.

Enter selected item
Backlight of LCD is controlled by program. At the beginning of energization,
the backlight will be on for 5 seconds as default. If there is no button pressed
within 5 seconds, it will be off automatically. Besides, it will be on for 10
seconds. If button is not pressed within 10 seconds, it will be off automatically.
Appearance is as shown below:
Power cord is three-core. Brown wire connects to live wire, blue wire connects
to neutral wire and black wire connects to communication wire. Connect
them to indoor unit or patching board of outdoor unit as shown in the picture.

Self-diagnosis for Wiring of Indoor and Outdoor Units
Wiring for Testing Indoor Unit
Connect three-core wire to patching board of indoor unit or outdoor unit.
Connect wire according to corresponding wire. Live wire connects to terminal
of live wire (brown); neutral wire connects to terminal of neutral wire (blue);
communication wire connects to terminal of communication wire (black).
In that case, communication wire of tester, indoor unit and outdoor unit
are connected in
parallel.
When self-diagnosis fails and it needs to manually test indoor unit, only
tester and indoor unit shall be connected and communication wire of outdoor
unit shall be disconnected.
Connection of neutral and live wire is the same as self-diagnosis of
indoor and outdoor units and indoor unit shall be turned on.
When self-diagnosis fails and it needs to manually test outdoor unit,

indoor unit shall be disconnected.

Test for Outdoor Unit

After confirming that the communication
wire of indoor unit has been disconnected,
“test ODU under testing” is
displayed and communication circuit and

inspected. After the inspection is successful,
it will simulate indoor unit to communicate
with outdoor unit as per preset commun-
