• Installing the batteries
2 x AA Alkaline batteries are supplied with the product.
1. Press down and push outward to open the battery door.
2. Insert the batteries as shown, ensuring you follow the +/- signs
correctly.
3. Close the battery door by pressing down and pushing it back in
position.

• Turning the Camera On and Off
To turn on the camera, slide the power switch
to the left and then release. In about ten
seconds, you will hear a beep sound and the
camera is ready for use. Slide it again to turn
the camera off.

• Checking the battery level
Check the battery power level before taking pictures.
1. Turn the camera on.
2. Check the battery status level that appears
on the camera status LCD.
Full battery power.
Medium battery power.
Low battery power.
• Automatic Power Off Saves Battery
Your camera is designed to switch off automatically and save battery life
after 60 seconds of inactivity.

2 Camera Setting
• Checking Camera Status
Switch the camera on, view the camera status LCD to check which
camera settings are active. If feature icon is not displayed, that particular
feature is not activated.

3 Taking and Managing the Pictures
• Taking a Picture
1. Turn on the camera.
2. Frame your subject using the camera
viewnder.
3. Press the shutter button to take a picture.
When you press the shutter button, a beep
sounds. Hold the camera steady until another
beep sounds. The picture counter on the status
LCD will increase by one, displaying the total
number of pictures taken.

Outdoor Pictures
Take pictures at approximately 5 feet (1.5 metre) to innity.
Avoid intense sunlight that may cause sun spots in pictures.
Always make sure that the sun or other light source is behind the
person taking the picture.

Indoor Pictures
• Setting Flash Mode
The camera defaults to Flash Off setting. The Flash setting resets to off
when the power is turned off.
1. Turn on the camera.
2. Press ash button to cycle through the Flash Mode until the one you
want is shown on the status LCD.

Indoor ash pictures are best taken in evenly well lit rooms. In these
conditions, keep your subjects at about 3 to 5 feet from the camera. In dim
lighting, keep your subjects at about 3 to 4 feet from the camera.
NOTE:
When the camera is set to Flash mode on, will blink on the Status LCD which
indicates the ash is charging battery. When it is completed, you will hear two
short beep sound indicating the ash is ready for use.
NOTE:
When the battery level is low and unable to charge the ash, there will be a low
beep tone when you press the ash button.
NOTE:
When the ash is charging, you are not able to take pictures. There will be a low
beep tone if you press the shutter button.
• Setting the Picture Quality
The camera defaults to High Resolution setting. Resolution resets to High
when power is turned off. To select Low Resolution:
1. Turn on the camera.
2. Press the mode button once and “HI” will ash on the status LCD.
3. While “HI” is ashing, press select button and “LOW” will ash on the
status LCD.
4. Press shutter button to conrm.

• Setting Self-timer
Your camera is designed with a self-timer function which will allow you to
take pictures with a ten second delay. The self-timer works only for the
next picture taken, and then resets to off.
1. Turn on the camera.
2. Press mode button until the
icon is ashing on the status LCD.
3. Press the shutter button to take a picture using the self-timer.
4. When shutter button is pressed, the LED indicator will ash and a beep
tone will count down, the beep sounds faster at the end of the ten
seconds countdown.
NOTE:
For best results, mount the camera on a tripod for self-timed pictures.
• Deleting the Last Picture Taken
1. Turn on the camera.
2. Press mode button until
ashes on the status LCD.
3. Press select button to conrm and
will stop ashing.
4. Press shutter button to delete the last picture taken. “ErL”(Erase Last)
will appear on the status LCD while deleting the last picture. When the
deletion is done, you will hear two short beeps and the frame counter
will decrease by one.
5. Or while
is ashing on the status LCD, press shutter button to
delete the last picture taken.
• Deleting All Pictures from the Camera
1. Turn on the camera.
2. Press mode button until
ashes on the status LCD.
3. Press select button to conrm and
will stop ashing.
4. Press shutter button to delete the all pictures taken. “ErA”(Erase all)
will appear on the status LCD while deleting the pictures. When the
deletion is done, you will hear two short beeps and the frame counter
will go to

5. Or while
is ashing on the status LCD, press shutter button to
delete all the pictures.

4 Installing the Software onto a Computer
• Install the software
IMPORTANT!
MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL ALL THE SOFTWARE FROM THE CD SUPPLIED BEFORE
YOU CONNECT YOUR CAMERA TO A COMPUTER.
NOTE:
Microsoft® NetMeeting™ is already bundled with Windows® 2000 and XP OS.
Users using Windows® 2000 or XP do not need to install this software from the
CD.
IMPORTANT!
If the computer request you to insert the Windows set up CD during the software
installation, place the windows CD into the computer CD-ROM drive. The
computer will install the necessary les from the CD automatically. After the
installation is complete, remove the Windows set up CD and store safely.
Open & Close
1. Before you begin, close all other software applications
open on your computer.
2. Insert the CD supplied into the computer CD-ROM
Drive.
3. The CD User Interface Screen will automatically launch.
4. With the mouse, click on each software
interface button in turn and follow the on screen
instructions.
NOTE:
If the setup screen doesn’t appear after loading the CD,
then you can manually start it by double-clicking the “My
Computer” Icon on your desktop, then double-clicking the
icon for the CD-ROM drive. When the CD-ROM window
opens, double-click theINSTALL-E.EXEicon.

For Window® 98SE users
Windows® 98SE users may need to download DirectX 6.1 or higher
software from the Internet. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/directx and
nd the free download DirectX 6.1 or higher.
• Software included with your camera
The PDC 330 software CD contains the following software:
Polaroid PDC 330 Picture Transfer Software
PDC 330 software enable pictures to be transferred to the computer from
the camera. Create your own les and folders to store the Pictures. Use
the Arcsoft software suite to edit and print the Pictures.
PhotoStudio®4.0 Picture Editing Software
PhotoStudio® 4.0 is a full-featured, easy-to-use digital image-editing
program that provides a complete set of picture editing and retouching
tools, plus a wide selection of special effects and enhancements. Its
powerful features include a wide variety of input and output options,
layers, multiple undo and redo functions, image management tools,
editable text, multiple le format support and a lot more.

ArcSoft Funhouse™ is an image entertainment application that enables
users to create “picture fantasies” by combining their personal pictures
with a wide variety of fantasy backgrounds. Users can get their own
images from digital cameras, scanners, disk drives and Picture CDs,
and seamlessly combine them with just a few clicks of the mouse. The
fantasy backgrounds include ctional characters, classic works of art,
Olympic heroes, 50’s funnies, bathing beauties, muscle men and a lot

5 Transferring Pictures to a Computer
• Before you transfer pictures
IMPORTANT!
Before you transfer your pictures make sure you have installed the software
from the CD.
• Connecting to your computer
Connecting with the USB Cable. The USB cable will supply power to the
camera when connected.

1. Turn the Camera Off.
2. Plug the labelled end of the USB cable into the socket marked
on your computer.
3. Plug the other end of the USB cable into the port on your camera

LCD.

• Camera Interface
The following description shows you how to manage the camera
interface.
1. : Press this button to download the chosen picture from the
Camera.
2. : Press this button to take a snap shot when the camera is in the DSC
( Digital Still Camera) mode or Video mode.
3. : Press this button to shift to Live Video mode.
4. : Press this button to shift to DSC
(Digital Still Camera) mode. DSC
mode is used to download pictures
from the camera.
5. : Press this button to modify the
Colour, brightness settings etc, when
in Live Video Mode.
6. : Press this button to Select All
pictures to download.
• Transferring & Viewing the Pictures on a computer
Transferring Pictures to the Computer
1. Turn the camera on and connect it to the computer via the USB cable.
2. Start software PhotoStudio® 4.0 and select the source.
Go to Start -> Programs -> Arcsoft software Suite -> PhotoStudio® 4.0.
Go to “File -> Select Source -> select Polaroid PDC 330 as source.

3. Click the icon on the right
upper corner of the Album. The
Album Palette will pop out. (As
shown on the right hand side
picture)
4. Click on the small downward
triangle to select “New Album”
to hold your pictures.
5. Click the camera icon and then the
capture interface will show up.
6. Hightlight the wanted image(s)
and click the computer icon
or simply click icon to
download all images in the
camera to the computer. The
images will appear in the
Preview album side bar. Double
click required image to open.
To open additional images,
click the icon and then the
camera icon.
The images(s) will be saved to C:
\programs les\Arcsoft\Software
Suite\PhotoStudio\Photos.
NOTE:
When you exit PhotoStudio® 4.0, it may ask if you want to save the modied
album, click yes to save.
Viewing the pictures
1. All the pictures selected have now been transferred into the
PhotoStudio® Album you have chosen.
2. The pictures appear as thumbnail pictures on the screen.
3. View your pictures by double clicking on the thumbnail pictures.
