• Turning the Camera On and Off
ON/OFF Button
To turn the camera on, press the power button until the LCD display comes on. To turn
the camera off, press the power button again. The LCD display will switch off.
Note:
Whenever the camera is not in use, please return it to the docking station, or remove the batteries from
the camera in order to extend the battery life.

• Checking the battery level
Check the battery power level before taking pictures. For guidelines on
battery usage, see Using Your Batteries

Your Camera is designed to switch off and save battery life after 60 seconds of non use.
Press the ON/OFF button to reactivate the camera.
• Checking Camera Status
Switch the Camera on, view the camera LCD screen to check which camera settings are
active. If an icon is not displayed, that camera feature is not activated.

2 Taking Pictures
• Taking a Picture
ON/OFF Button
1. Press the ON/OFF button once to switch the camera ON.
2. Frame your subject using the camera viewnder.
3. Hold the camera steadily. Press the Shutter button completely down to take an image.
A beep sound is made when the picture has been taken and the counter will increase by
one. The counter will stop bilnking when the picture exposure has been completed.
4. Under some lighting conditions there may be a delay before image is captured,
After pressing the shutter button, hold the camera steady until you hear a
beep. The beep singals exposure is complete. Moving the camera before the
beep may result in a blurry image.

• Setting the 2X Digital Zoom
1. Press the Feature button and then press the Feature Change button to select 2X
Digital Zoom

2. The camera will wait a few moments and then set the 2X Digital Zoom mode.
3. Take the Picture.
Picture resolution in 2 x Digital Zoom mode is 320 x 240. You may notice a decrease in
picture quality when using digital zoom mode.
• Self Timer
You camera is designed with a self timer function which will allow you to take pictures with
10 seconds timer built in. Frame our subject and use a stand (not supplied) to position
your camera.
1. Switch the camera on.
2. Use the Feature button to select the self timer mode
. Press Feature Change
button to conrm. The self timer icon will ash until set.
3. Frame your subject.
4. Press the shutter button, the camera counter will automatically count 10 seconds before
taking a picture.
• Re-formatting the camera
PLEASE NOTE! ALL PICTURES WILL BE DELETED WHEN RE-FORMATTED
1. Press the Feature button until the
icon appears. Press the Feature Change
button to conrm.
2. The camera will wait up to 40 seconds for the formatting to be completed. The
icon
will be displayed during this time.

3 Viewing your Pictures on your TV Screen
• Docking Station
The Docking Station makes it easy to view your Pictures on the TV.
• Connecting the Docking Station to a TV
1. FOR TV USERS
LINE
Connect the TV Out Cable between the rear of the Docking
Station and the Line In “Video” or “Video In” socket on the TV.
2. Switch the TV ON.
3. If you are using a video player, connect the TV Out Cable to the “Video In” socket on the
rear of the Video player, and switch the TV ON.
4. Now connect the 9 volt main adaptor supplied to the rear of the Docking Station and
then connect the plug to the socket and switch the mains ON.

The TV Menu Bar is operated by the 4 Function Buttons on top of the Docking Station
Power LED
TV Menu Bar Display On/Off button – Used to display or hide the TV Menu Bar.
Scroll (Left) TV Menu Bar button – Used to move left to the selected icon.
Scroll (right) TV Menu Bar button – Used to move right to the selected icon.
Save / Enter button. - Used to either save the pictures to the Floppy Disk or
- Used to conrm the function selected.

• Here’s how to view the Pictures
The TV Menu Bar has everything you need to View, Rotate, and Save your pictures. Five
minutes practice is all you need.
Here’s some important notes we suggest you read before commencing.
Selecting the Delete One & Delete All
will permanently delete the picture(s) from your
camera memory.
Don’t do this unless you are sure you do not want
to keep the picture(s).
TV Menu Bar Icons are highlighted in Grey when
not active, and coloured when active.
Use the Scroll left and Scroll right
and select the Save/enter button to conrm the
operation. The TV Menu Bar Icon will turn to
colour when activated.
Insert one of the Floppy Disks supplied into the
slot on the front of the Docking Station. Make
sure it’s the right way round and not upside
down.

Always keep an eye on the far left and
far right TV Menu button icons. They hold
important information about the saving and
viewing options

• Basic functions
Camera On – if the camera is switched on the icon is coloured and the images will be
seen on the screen. If the icon is grey colour no pictures will be seen on the TV.
Scroll Left Select this icon and then use the button to view pictures in reverse
order.
Scroll Right Select this icon and then use the button to view pictures in
normal order.
Save the picture displayed on TV screen to the Floppy Disk Select this icon and then
use the to save the picture shown to the Floppy Disk.
Save all Pictures to the Floppy Disk – Select this icon and then use the to save
all pictures to the Floppy Disk.
Delete the picture displayed on TV screen from the Camera Select this icon and then
use the to select the delete mode from the camera. Press the again to
conrm deletion.
If you do not want to delete the current picture displayed on your screen, press
or .
Delete all Pictures from the Camera Select this icon and then use the to
select the delete mode from the camera. To prevent accidental erasure, press the
again to conrm deletion.
If you do not want to delete the all pictures, press or .
Rotate a Picture anticlockwise on the TV – Select this icon and then use the to
rotate the picture 90 degrees left on the TV Screen.
Rotate a Picture clockwise on the TV Select this icon and then use the to
rotate the picture 90 degrees right on the TV Screen.
View the automatic Picture slideshow on the TV Select this icon and then use the
to continuously view all pictures. Press the to stop and start the slide
show.

• Other Important Information Displayed on the TV Menu Bar
These icons which are always displayed to the far right of the TV screen will supply you with

Important! SAVING ALL PICTURES ONTO A FLOPPY DISK
DISK FULL?
When the oppy disk is full, the TV C@m screen picture rotation will cease rotating.
Remove the full disk. Insert a new disk. The save mode is resumed by pressing “Enter”
button on the TV C@m Docking Station.
STOPPING THE SAVE PICTURES MODE!
To stop the saving mode, remove the oppy disk and press any button on the TV C@m
Docking Station to stop this function.

4 Loading a Floppy Disk
The TV Docking station also has a Floppy Disk slot on the front face, which is used to save
your pictures if you don’t have a computer.
If you don’t have a computer, you can save your pictures onto a Floppy Disk inside the
Docking Station and get somebody who does have a computer to store the pictures for
printing, editing or e-mailing. The Floppy Disks supplied are compatible with all home PC
computers.
• Loading a Floppy Disk
1. Install a Floppy Disk all the way into the Floppy Disk drive slot in the front of the docking
station. Ensure the disk is inserted the right way up and the right way round with the
round visible disk on the underside and the 2 square holes on the outer edge.
• Removing a Floppy Disk from the docking station
1. Firmly press the eject button located directly below the Floppy Disk slot.

1. Simply remove the oppy disk by pressing the disk eject button on the docking station
2. Remove the oppy disk and insert the disk into a computer disk drive.
3. Double click on “my computer” on the computer desktop and double click on the A
drive. Your images will be shown as jpeg les. Alternatively you can access the pictures
through the Arcsoft® computer software or open on your computer desktop.

5 Installing your Software onto a Computer
• Install the software
Make sure you install the software from the TV C@m software CD supplied before you
transfer pictures from your camera to the computer.
For Window® Users:
PC
1. Before you begin, close all other software applications
open on your computer.
2. Place the TV C@m Software CD supplied into the
computer CD ROM Drive.
3. The CD User Interface Screen will automatically
launch.
4. With the mouse, click on each software interface
button in turn following the on screen prompts.

Note:
When prompted to do so, register your name and the other details
requested for further on line support. You must be connected to
your internet service provider to register electronically.
For Macintosh® Users:
MAC
1. Double click on the CD-ROM icon “TV C@m
2. Double click the “My Camera.1” icon.
3. Click “Continue”.
4. Click “Quit” to nish the installation.
A folder named “My Camera” will appear in your Hard Disk
after installation and a short-cut icon “My Camera” will appear
on your desktop.
• Softwares included with your camera
The TV C@m software CD contains the following software;
Cool–iCam “TV C@mPicture Transfer Software
TV C@m software enable Pictures to be transferred to the computer from the camera.
Create your own les and folders to store the Pictures. Use the Arcsoft® softwares suite
to edit and print the Pictures.

PhotoStudio® 4.0 Picture Editing Software
PhotoStudio® 4.0 is a full-featured, easy-to-use digital image-editing program that
provides a complete set of photo editing and retouching tools, plus a wide selection of
special effects and enhancements. Its powerful features include a wide variety of input
and output options, layers, multiple undo and redo functions, image management tools,
editable text, multiple le format support and a lot more.
ArcSoft Funhouse™ 1.0 Picture Editing Software
ArcSoft Funhouse™ is an image entertainment application that enables users to create “fun
photo” by combining their personal photos with a wide variety of mask backgrounds. Users
can get their own images from digital cameras, scanners, disk drives and Photo CDs, and
seamlessly combine them with just a few clicks of the mouse. The “Mask” backgrounds
include sports, role, time warp, trading cards, in print, cartoon and surreal.
ArcSoft PhotoPrinter® 2000 Picture Printing Software
ArcSoft PhotoPrinter® is an easy-to-use printing utility that enables the user to layout
and print multiple images in different sizes quickly and easily on a single sheet of paper.
The program offers a large selection of printing templates, including Kodak Digital Science
Inkjet Photo Paper Templates and Avery-brand paper products. It also includes commonly
used image-editing tools and a wide selection of templates for frames, edges and
backgrounds for enhancing images.
ArcSoft VideoImpression™ 1.6 Movie Making Software
ArcSoft VideoImpression™ is an easy-to-use video and image editing software program.
The program enables users to create and edit new videos using existing video and image
les - making desktop video presentations for home, business, and the Web.

Microsoft® Netmeeting™ Web Cam software
NetMeeting™ provides the most complete conferencing solution for the Internet and

electronic whiteboard, transfer les, use the text-based chat program, and much more.
Using your PC and the Internet, you can now hold face-to-face conversations with friends
and family around the world.
Adobe® Acrobat® Reader .PDF File Editing Software
Adobe® Acrobat® Reader lets you view and print Adobe Portable Document format (PDF)
les on all major computer platforms, as well as ll in an submit Adobe PDF forms online.

• How to Install ArcSoft® Software
For Windows® Users:
PC
1. Re-insert the CD-ROM disc into the CD-ROM drive and close the CD-ROM drawer.
2. An installation wizard will automatically launch.
3. Click the “ArcSoft® Software” icon.
4. Select the language for the installation and click “OK”.
5. Follow the on-screen prompts.
6. Select the software you want or you do not want installed by clicking on the tick boxes
next to the software title. Click “Next >” to continue.
7. Follow the instructions presented on the screen to complete the installation.
Note:
Don’t worry if you made a mistake and want to add in ArcSoft® titles you did not tick.
Re-insert the CD-ROM and follow steps 1 - 6 ticking only the software you want to add.
For Macintosh® Users:
MAC
1. Insert the CD-ROM disc into the CD-ROM drive and close the CD-ROM drawer.
2. Double click the CD-ROM icon “TV C@m
3. Double click on the selected Arcsoft® software in the English Folder which you wish to
install.
4. Follow the instructions presented on the screen to complete the installation.
• How to install the Microsoft® NetMeeting™:
PC
1. Insert the CD-ROM disc into the CD-ROM drive and close the CD-ROM drawer.
2. An installation wizard will automatically launch.
3. Click the “Microsoft® NetMeeting™” icon.
4. Follow the instructions presented on the screen to complete
the installation.
5. You will have a choice during installation to place a desktop
icon on your desktop for easy access directly to the
software.
