Cuggl 8180197 is an extra-wide safety gate designed to provide a secure barrier for openings ranging from 75cm to 117cm. For openings 75cm-81cm; 87cm-93cm; 99cm-105cm;

111cm-117cm you will need to use the supplied 12cm

and 24cm extension piece(s).

For openings 81cm-87cm; 93cm-99cm; 105cm-111cm you

will need to use 6cm 8344816 Cuggl Safety gate extension

white (sold separately).

Safety barrier is suitable for use with children up

to 24 months of age.

This product will not necessarily prevent all accidents.

Never leave child unattended.

This safety barrier complies with EN1930:2011.

This safety barrier is for indoor domestic use only.

To clean: Use mild soap and wipe with a damp cloth.

Adult assembly required.

WARNING– Always check that the barrier is properly closed after each use and before walking away.

The 6cm extension, Cat No. 8344816 Cuggl Safety Gate Extensions White

is sold separately. Please install the gate and the extensions according to

the above installation images. Only use one extension per side.

If the safety barrier is used

at the bottom of the stairs,

it should be positioned at

the front of the lowest

tread possible.

The safety barrier should not be

used at the top of stairs or steps.

Use either the extension piece(s) supplied with the gate

and/or 8344816 Cuggl Safety Gate Extension White

(sold separately) to span the width of the opening.

Insert steel bolt (G) into the required extension piece(s) in the orientation

as shown above.

For the 12cm & 24cm extension piece(s) insert the shorter

of the two ends of steel bolt (G) into the safety gate. When correctly

assembled there shouldn t be a gap between the safety gate and the

extension piece

Pre-install the gate, extension piece(s) and the wall cups

into the desired position.

Ensure that the gap is sufficient to allow the lock

to operate smoothly.

Please use the spanner to install the gate securely.

Check that the lock operates, and the

gate opens and closes correctly.

Note: The gate should not move when the button is pressed. Further backward or forwards

adjustment of the top wall cup on the lock side may be required if this happens.

Check that the gap between the handle

and the lock is less than 1mm and the

gate operates smoothly.

Adjust the vertical alignment by following the images above.

The position of the top wall cup on the lock side may need

to be adjusted backwards or forwards so that the gate and

frame are perfectly aligned as per the above image.

Cut the plastic

cable tie after

final adjustment.

End of Pre-installation

instructions.

Drill pilot holes for the screws if fitting into

the door frame or holes for the wall plugs

using the correct size drill and fitting for

the wall construction.

Remove the gate and line up the wall

cups (C) with the marks on the walls.

Mark the screw position onto the wall.

With the gate still installed, mark round the

wall cups (C) with a pencil.

Secure the wall cups (C) in

place using screws (A) provided

or suitable screws.

The gate is closed

only when there is

a "click" sound and

the red mark is not

visible on the lock

anymore and the

bottom lock has

engaged. You must

ensure that the gate

is full locked afer

each use and before
