1. SAFETY.
1.1. The operator of the machine;
1.1.1. Is responsible for and has a duty of care in making sure that the machine is operated safely
and in accordance with the instructions in this user manual.
1.1.2. Should never leave it in a condition which would allow an untrained or unauthorised
person/s to operate this machine.
1.1.2.1. Should take care and show due diligence for the safety of and with regard to those
around whilst using the machine, to include but not limited to;
1.1.2.1.1. Elderly, children, pets, livestock and property.
1.2. Some or all of the following PPE, Warning Signs and symbols may appear throughout this manual

1.3. Carbon monoxide.
1.3.1. Carbon monoxide is a colourless and odourless gas. Inhaling this gas can
cause death as well as serious long term health problems such as brain damage.
1.3.2. The symptoms of Carbon monoxide poisoning can include but not limited to the following;
1.3.2.1. Headaches, Dizziness, Nausea, Breathlessness, Collapsing or Loss of consciousness.
1.3.2.2. Carbon monoxide symptoms are similar to flu, food poisoning, viral infections and
simply tiredness. It is quite common for people to mistake this very dangerous poisoning
for something else.
1.3.3. To avoid Carbon monoxide poisoning DO NOT Use Petrol/Diesel powered equipment inside
a home, garage, tent, camper van, mobile home, caravan or boat. The list is not exhaustive if
you are in any doubt contact your dealer.
1.3.4. If you think you or someone around you has been affected by carbon monoxide poisoning;
1.3.4.1. Get fresh air immediately, by opening doors and windows, turning off the machine
and leaving the affected area.
1.3.4.2. See your doctor immediately or go to hospital - let them know that you suspect
carbon monoxide poisoning.
1.3.5. DO NOT use in an enclosed area or a moving vehicle.
1.4. General fuel safety.
1.4.1. Fuel Safety additional information can be obtained from the Health and Safety Executive.
1.4.2. All fuels are flammable.
1.4.3. Keep away from all ignition sources i.e. heaters, lamps, sparks from grinding or welding.
1.4.4. Hot work on tanks that have contained fuel is extremely dangerous and should not be
carried out.
1.4.5. Keep work area clean and tidy.
1.4.6. Clean up all spills promptly using correct methods i.e. absorbent granules and a lidded bin.
1.4.7. Dispose of waste fuels correctly.

1.5. Petrol safety.
1.5.1. Always fuel and defuel in well-ventilated area.
1.5.2. Always wear correct, suitable and fit for purpose Personal Protective Equipment (PPE),
suggested items are as follows, but are not limited too.
1.5.3. Hand protection.
1.5.4. Protective clothing.
1.5.5. Respiratory protective equipment should be used when in an unventilated area.
1.5.6. When defueling always use a propriety fuel retriever.
1.5.7. Always carry fuel in the correct and clearly marked container.
1.7. Battery safety
1.7.6. Batteries present a risk if they become damage by the possible leaking of electrolyte.
This electrolyte is an acid and can cause serious injuries. Care should be taken when
working on or near them.
1.7.1.1. Should you come into contact with acid you should;
1.7.1.2. Remove all clothing contaminated with acid.
1.7.1.3. Get medical assistance as soon as possible.
1.7.1.4. Use fresh running water to wash off excess acid, continue this until medical assistance
arrives.
1.7.1.5. If acid come into contact with Eyes the acid needs to be immediately washed away.
Make sure that you do not wash the acid to another part of the face or body.
1.7.1.6. Gasses from charging batteries are highly flammable and great care should be taken to
charge in well ventilated areas.
1.6. Electrical Safety.
1.6.1. Electricity can kill - never work on LIVE/ENERGISED equipment.
1.6.2. Identify electrical isolation method and always isolate all electrical supplies,
prior to carrying out any maintenance work.
1.6.3. Prior to use and with all electrical supplies isolated check all electrical cables,
plugs and connections for the following.
1.6.3.1.
Are intact and have no signs of damage, to include but not limited to
bare wires, chaffing, cuts and loose wiring. If there are any signs of damage,
the
damaged item should be taken out of service until the damage has been
repaired by an electrically competent person.
1.6.4. All trailing cables should be routed so as not to cause any kind of trip hazard.
1.6.5. Never work on or near electricity with wet hands, wet clothing, and wet
gloves.

2. WARNING SIGNS
The generator is designed to give safe and dependable service if operated
according to instructions. Read and understand this manual carefully before
operating the generator, or it may cause serious injury and equipment
damage.
Exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide. Do not operate generator in
confined area. Be sure to operate the generator in a well-ventilated
environment or with an aerator. Using a generator indoors will kill you in
minutes. Never use in the home or in a partly enclosed area such as garages.
Only use outdoors and far from open windows doors and vents.
The exhaust becomes very hot during operating and remains hot for a while after stopping
the engine. Be careful not to touch the exhaust while it is hot. Let the engine cool before
storing the generator indoor
The engine exhaust system will be heated during operation and remain hot immediately after
stopping the engine. To prevent scalding, pay more attention to the warning label/marks
attached to the generator.
BE CAREFUL - Electric shock risk - Do not parallel connect other cables to plugs/sockets, use
special adaptors.
3. ADDITIONAL WARNINGS
Petrol is extremely flammable and is explosive under certain conditions. Refuel in a well ventilated area with engine
stopped. Keep fuel away from cigarettes, and other sources of ignition such as sparks from grinding tools etc, when
refueling the generator.
Connection for standby power to a building electrical system must be made by a qualified electrician. The connection
must isolate the generator from utility power, and must comply with all applicable laws and electrical codes.
Improper connections to a building electrical system can allow electrical current from the generator to back-feed into
the utility lines. Such backfeed may electrocute utility company workers or others who contact the lines during a
power outage, and the generator may explode, or cause fires when utility power is restored. Back-feeding is illegal
and highly dangerous.
To avoid accidents and equipment damage, check generator and system every time and before starting engine.
Keep the generator a distance at least 1 metre from other equipment or other equipment during operation.
Keep the generator horizontal when running, if generator is on an uneven surface (i.e. tilted), it may cause fuel
spillage.
Generator operators must be trained, and must know how to stop the generator quickly and understand the operation
of all controllable parts. Untrained operators should not be allowed to use this equipment.
Keep children and pets away from operation area.
Keep away from rotating parts during operation.
The generator is a potential source of electrical shock when misused. Do not operate it with wet hands or in any wet
location.
Do not operate the generator in rain, snow or let it get wet.

5. PRE-OPERATION CHECKS
5.1 Check engine oil level.
5.1.1 Using non-detergent oil or 2-stroke engine oil could shorten the engine's
service life.
5.1.2 Use high-detergent, premium quality 4-stroke engine oil, certified to meet or
exceed manufacturer's requirements for API Service Classification SG, SF. (15W40)
Select the appropriate viscosity for the average temperature in your area.
5.1.3 Loosen the cover screw and remove the cover (item 5 main unit). Remove
the oil filler cap shown below. and wipe the dipstick with a clean rag. Check the oil
level by inserting the dipstick in the filler hole without screwing it in. If the oil level is
below the end of the dipstick, refill the recommended oil up to the top of the oil filler
neck.
5.1.4 The Oil Alert System will automatically stop the engine before the oil level falls
below the safe limit. However, to avoid the inconvenience of an unexpected
shutdown, it Is still advisable to visually Inspect the oil level regularly.
5.2 Check fuel level.
5.2.1 Always tighten the fuel filler cap before transporting.
5.2.2 Check the fuel level display carefully, refill fuel to the standard level when the
red pointer point to "E" position.
5.2.3 Use automotive fuel (Unleaded or low leaded is preferred to minimize
combustion chamber deposits).
5.2.4 DO NOT use fuel containing alcohol:
5.2.4.1 Fuel system damage or engine performance problems resulting from
the use of fuels that contain alcohol are not covered under the warranty.
5.2.5 DO NOT use an oil/petrol mixture or dirty petrol.
5.2.6 Avoid getting dirt, dust or water in the fuel tank.
5.2.7 After refuelling, lighten the fuel filler cap securely.

5.2.8 Petrol is extremely flammable and is explosive under certain conditions.
5.2.9 Always refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine stopped.
5.2.10 Do not smoke or allow flames or sparks in the area where the engine is
refuelled or where petrol is stored.
5.2.11 Do not overfill the fuel tank. After refuelling, make sure the tank cap is closed
properly and securely.
5.2.12 Be careful not to spill fuel when refuelling. Spilled fuel or fuel vapour may
ignite. If any fuel is spilled, make sure the area is dry before starting the engine.
5.2.13 Avoid repeated or prolonged contact with skin or breathing of vapour. KEEP
OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
5.3 Check the air filter
5.3.1 Check the air cleaner element to be sure it is dean and in good condition.
5.3.2 Loosen the two cover screws (1a/1b) and remove the left side maintenance
cover.
5.3.3 Undo and remove the two fixing screws (2a/2b) of the air cleaner body, remove
the air cleaner cartridge (3 &4a), and check the element. Clean or replace the
element (4b) if necessary.
5.3.4 Never run the engine without the air cleaner. Rapid engine wear will result from
contaminants, such as dust and dirt, being drawn through the carburettor, into the
engine,
5.3.5 It is normal for a little oil to appear under the air filter box if the generator is
running for a long period of time, or a lot of oil is in the engine. Wipe up excess oil
after each use and after stopping the generator.
6. STARTING THE ENGINE
Disconnect all loads from both the AC and DC sockets.
6.1. Electric start.
6.1.1 Turn the fuel valve (1) to the ON position.
6.1.2 Put the electric start key into the engine switch, and turn it to "ON"
position.
6.1.3 Turn the electric start key (2) to "START" position by turning in a clockwise
direction until the engine has started.
IMPORTANT This unit is supplied with a battery
which is disconnected for safety in transit. You
must connect battery before commencing any kind
of start procedure.
Remove access panel by undoing screws 1a/1b,
Connect negative (black) wire (2) to negative
battery terminal (black) (3). Replace cover.

6.2 Recoil start.
6.2.1 Turn the fuel valve (1) to the ON position.
6.1.2 Put the electric start key into the engine switch, and turn it to "ON" position.
6.1.3 Pull the starting grip (3) lightly until resistance is felt, then pull briskly to
start the engine.
Never allow the starter grip to snap back, return it slowly by hand.
Grasp the carrying handle firmly to prevent the generator from falling over
when pulling the starting grip.
If the engine stops and will not restart, check the engine oil level before
troubleshooting in other areas.
If the engine has been in storage and engine
cannot be started it may be that the battery has
lost its charge - if this happens then start the
engine using the recoil starter method to start the
engine.
6.1a Remote start.
6.1a.1 Turn the fuel valve (1) ON.
6.1a.2 Turn the remote control switch (3) to the ON position, the amber lamp (2) will
flash.
6.1a.3 Push the start button (4) on the remote twice in quick succession. until the
engine has. DO NOT operate the starter for more than ten seconds. Repeat if
necessary.
6.1a.4 To remote STOP the machine press the stop button (5).
The maximum operating range is 75 feet based on a clear line of sight. ALWAYS turn
the remote control switch to the OFF position when not in use to prevent the battery
from running down.

6.3 High altitude operation.
6.3.1 At high altitude, the standard carburettor air-fuel mixture will be excessively
rich. Performance will decrease, and fuel consumption will increase.
6.3.2 High altitude performance can be improved by installing a smaller diameter
main fuel jet in the carburettor and readjusting the slow tempo screws. If you always
operate the generator at altitudes higher than 1,500 m (5.000 feet) above sea level,
have your dealer perform these carburettor modifications.
6.3.3 Even with suitable carburettor jetting, engine horsepower will decrease
approximately 3.5% for each 300m (1,000 feet) increase in altitude.
6.3.4 The effect of altitude on the horsepower will be greater than this if no
carburettor modification is made.
6.4 Generator use.
To prevent electrical shock from faulty appliances, the generator should be
grounded (earthed). Connect an electric conductor (cable) of at least 1.5mm*
between the generator's ground (earth) terminal and an external ground
source.
6.4.1 Connections for standby power to a building's electrical system must be made
by a qualified electrician and must comply with all applicable laws and electrical
codes. Improper connections can allow electrical current from the generator to back
feed into the utility lines. Such back feed may electrocute utility company workers or
others who contact the lines during a power outage, and when utility power is
restored, the generator may explode, burn. or cause fires in the building's electrical
system.
6.4.2 Limit operation requiring maximum power to 30 minutes. For continuous
operation, do not exceed the rated power. In either case, the total wattage of all
appliances connected must be considered.
6.4.3 DO NOT exceed the current limit specified for any one receptacle.
6.4.4 DO NOT connect the generator to a household circuit This could cause the
damage to the generator or to electrical appliances in the house.
6.4.5 DO NOT modify or use the generator for other purpose than it Is intended for.
6.4.6 Also observe the following when using the generator.
6.4.6.1 Do not connect generators in parallel.
6.4.6.2 Do not connect an extension to exhaust pipe.
6.4.6.3 When an extension cable is required, be sure to use a rubber sheathed
flexible cable.
6.4.6.4 Limit length of extension cables: 60m for cables of 2.5mmsq and 100m
for cables of 4 mmsq.
6.4.6.5 Keep the generator away from other electric cables or wires such as
distribution network.
6.4.6.6 The DC receptacle can be used while the AC power is in use. If you use
both at the same time, be sure not to exceed the total power for AC and DC.
6.4.7 Most appliance motors require more than their rated wattage for start-up.

6.5 AC Applications.
6.5.1 Start the engine and make sure the output (Pilot) indicator light (2)(green)
illuminates.
6.5.2 Confirm that the appliance to be used is switched off, lift flap and plug in the
appliance to either or both of the sockets (1).
6.5.3 Substantial overloading that continuously lights the overload indicator light
(red) may damage the generator.
6.5.4 Marginal overloading that temporarily lights the
overload indicator light (red)(3) may shorten the service life of the generator.
6.5.5 Make sure that all appliances are in good working order before connecting them
to the generator. If an appliance begins to operate abnormally, becomes sluggish, or
stops suddenly, turn off the generator engine switch immediately. Then disconnect
the appliance, and examine it for signs of malfunction.
6.6 Output, overload and oil alarm indications.
6.6.1 The output indicator light (green)(1) will remain lighted during normal
operating conditions.
6.6.2 If the generator is overloaded or if there is a short in the connected appliance,
the output indicator light (green) will go OFF, the overload indicator light (red)(2)
will go ON and current to the connected appliance will be shut off.
6.6.3 Stop the engine if the oil alarm indicator light (red)(3) comes ON, check oil
level and refill with oil as required.

Before connecting an appliance to the generator, check that it is in good order, and
that its electrical rating does not exceed that of the generator. Then connect the
power cord of the appliance, and start the engine.
Be sure all equipment is turned off before plugging in the power cord.
When an electric motor is started, both the overload indicator light (red)(3) and the
output (pilot) indicator light (green)(2) may go on simultaneously. This is normal if
the overload indicator light (red) goes off after about four seconds. If the overload
indicator light (red) stays on, consult your dealer.
6.6.5 Connect the ground terminal
6.7 Start engine according to "STARTING THE ENGINE".
When the output indicator light (green) does not light and the overload indicator
light (red) lights instead, set the engine switch to STOP, stop the engine at once and
then start the engine again.

6.8 Confirm that the equipment to be used is switched off, and insert the plug of the
equipment to be used into the AC socket.
Check that the equipment to be connected is switched off. When the equipment to
be used is switched on, it will operate suddenly and without warning, and can cause
injuries or accidents.
6.9 Switch on the equipment output indicator light will flicker.
6.10 In the case of overload operation or when trouble occurs for the equipment being used,
the output indicator light (green) will go out, the overload indicator light (red) will light
continuously, and no power will be output at this time, the engine will not stop, so that the
engine must be stopped by setting the respective engine switch to STOP.
When equipment requires a large starting power, the overload indicator lights (red)
and the output indicator light (green) may light together for a short time, but this Is
not abnormal. After starting the equipment, the overload Indicator light (red) will
go out and the output indicator light (green) will stay lit.

N.B When using the DC output, turn Smart Throttle (ECON) to the OFF position. The DC current will be below 5A if turning
on the Smart Throttle without AC current output.
When charging batteries, a person must be present to monitor the voltage. Stop charging when the voltage of the battery
is above 16V. Or it may cause battery explosion, resulting in serious injury or death.

6.12 To prevent the possibility of creating a spark near the battery, connect charging cable
first to the generator, then to the battery. Disconnect cable first at the battery.
6.12.1 Before connecting charging cables to a battery that is installed in a vehicle,
disconnect the vehicles grounded (earth) battery cable. Reconnect the vehicle's
grounded battery cable after the charging cables are removed. This procedure will
prevent the possibility of a short circuit and sparks if you make accidental contact
between a battery terminal and the vehicle's frame or body.
6.13 DO NOT attempt to start an automobile engine while the generator still connected to
the battery. The generator may be damaged.
6.13.1 Connect the positive battery terminal to the positive charging cord. Do not
reverse the charging cables, or serious damage to the generator and/or the battery
may occur.
6.14 The battery gives off explosive gases: keep spark, flames and cigarettes away. Provide
adequate ventilation when charging.
6.15 The battery contains sulphuric acid (electrolyte). Contact with skin or eyes may cause
severe burns. Wear protective clothing and a face shield.
6.15.1 If electrolyte gets on your skin, flush with water.
6.15.2 If electrolyte gets in your eyes, flush with water for at least 15 minutes and
call a Doctor.
6.15 Electrolyte is poisonous.
6.15.1 If swallowed, drink large quantities of water or milk. DO NOT encourage
vomiting as this will cause more damage to the throat and mouth on its return
journey.
6.16 KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN, PETS AND UNTRAINED PEOPLE.

6.17 Start the engine.
6.17.1 The DC receptacle may be used while the AC power is in use.
6.17.2 An overloaded DC circuit will trip (1) the DC circuit protector. If this happens,
disconnect the DC load before pushing in the circuit protector to resume operation.
6.18 Oil Alert system.
6.18.1 The oil alert system is designed to prevent engine damage caused by an
insufficient amount of oil in the crankcase. Before the oil level in the crankcase falls
below a safe limit, the oil alert system will automatically shut down the engine (the
engine switch will remain in the ON position).
6.18.2 If the oil alert system shuts down the engine, the oil alert indicator light (red)
(3) will come on when you operate the starter, and the engine will not run. If this
occurs, add engine oil.
6.19 Stopping the engine.
6.19.1 In an emergency push the Red STOP button (1).
6.19.1.1 Switch off and remove all loads.
6.19.1.2 Turn fuel valve (2) to off position.
6.19.2 In normal use switch off and remove all loads, then turn engine switch to the
off position.
6.19.2.1 Turn off fuel valve (2) to off position.

7. MAINTENANCE
7.1 The purpose of the maintenance and adjustment schedule is to keep the generator in the
best operating condition.
7.2 Inspect or service as scheduled in the table below.
Shut off the engine before performing any maintenance.
If the engine must be run, make sure the area is well ventilated. The exhaust
contains poisonous carbon monoxide gas.
Only use authorised parts or their equivalent The use of replacement parts
which are not of equivalent quality may damage the generator.
(1) Log hours of operation to determine proper maintenance.
(2) Service more frequently when used in dusty areas.
(3) These items should be serviced by an authorized dealer, unless the owner has
the proper tools and is mechanically proficient. See the Shop Manual.
7.3 Changing oil.
7.3.1 Drain the oil while the engine is still warm to assure rapid and complete
draining.
7.3.2 Remove the screw and open the access panel (1).
7.3.3 Remove the oil filler plug (2), insert drain tube (3), tip machine over and pour
out the engine oil.
7.3.4 Once all old oil is removed refill using clean SAE 15W 40 oil using oil jug (4) and
drain tube (3). Engine oil capacity 1.0 litre.
7.3.5 Once new oil has been put in, gently shake the generator to make sure that
the oil level float has reset.

Wash your hands with soap and water after handing used oil.
Please dispose of used motor oil in a manner that is compatible with the
environment. We suggest you take it in a sealed container to your local recycling
centre.
DO NOT dispose of it by throwing it in your domestic waste or pour it on the ground.
7.4 Air filter service.
7.4.1 A dirty air filter will restrict air flow to the carburettor. To prevent carburettor
malfunction, service the air cleaner regularly.
7.4.2 Service more frequently when operating the generator in extremely dirty areas.
DO NOT use petrol or low flash point solvents for cleaning.
They are flammable and explosive under certain conditions.
Wash in soapy water, rinse in fresh water and allow to fully dry before replace into
machine.
7.4.3 Loosen the access panel screws (1a/1b) and remove the access panel.
7.4.4 Remove the 2 screws (2a/2b) of the air filter case.
7.4.5 Pull the air filter cartridge (3) out .
7.4.6 Remove the air filter element. (4b) Clean or replace the element if necessary.
7.4.7 Reinstall the air filter parts after cleaning or replacing air filter element.
7.5 Spark plug servicing.
7.5.1 Please use high quality authentic spark plug(NGK).
7.5.2 To ensure proper engine operation, the spark plug must be properly gapped
and free of deposits.
7.5.3 Remove the 2 cover screws (1a/1b).
7.5.4 Remove spark plug cap (3), put spark plug spanner (5) over plug, insert
screwdriver (4) into plug spanner, Turn anti-clockwise to remove.
7.5.5 Visually inspect the spark plug. Discard it if the insulator is cracked or chipped.
Clean spark plug with a wire brush if it is to be reused.
7.5.6 If a new spark plug is to be used adjust to a gap of 0.6 - 0.7mm. Install the spark
plug carefully by hand, to avoid cross-threading.
7.5.7 After a new spark plug has been seated by hand, it should be tightened 1/4 turn
with a spanner to compress its washer. If a used plug is being reinstalled, it should
only require 1/4 to 1/8 turn after being seated.
7.5.8 Reinstall the ignition coil rubber boot on the spark plug securely.
7.5.9 Reinstall the access panel.
