The operator of the machine is responsible for, and has a duty of care in making sure that

the machine is operated safely and in accordance with the instructions in this user manual.

Keep the manual safe and pass it on if the machine is loaned or sold to another user.

Please note the following safety points.

The machine should never be left it in a condition which would allow an untrained or

unauthorised person/s to operate this machine.

3.5

All due care and diligence should be taken by the operator for the safety of, and with

regard to those around whilst using the machine.

3.6

Some or all of the following - warning signs, symbols and/or PPE pictograms may appear

throughout this manual. You MUST adhere to their warnings. Failure to do so may result in

personal injury to yourself or those around you.

Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), MUST be worn at all times when machine is in use or

being repaired.

3. SAFETY

CARBON MONOXIDE (where applicable).

3.8

Carbon monoxide is a colourless and odourless gas. Inhaling this gas can cause death

as well as serious long term health problems such as brain damage.

3.9

The symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning can include but are not limited to the

following;

Headaches, Dizziness, Nausea, Breathlessness, Collapsing or Loss of Consciousness.

3.10

Carbon monoxide poisoning symptoms are similar to flu, food poisoning, viral infections

and simply tiredness. It is quite common for people to mistake this very dangerous

poisoning for something else.

3.11

To avoid carbon monoxide poisoning DO NOT use Petrol/Diesel powered equipment inside

any of the following; Home, garage, tent, camper van, mobile home, caravan or boat.

This list is not exhaustive and if you are in any doubt contact your dealer.

3.12

If you think you have or someone around you has been affected by carbon monoxide

poisoning;

Get them fresh air immediately, by leaving the affected area or by opening doors and

windows. If safe and practical to do so make sure that the machine is turned off.

DO NOT enter a room you suspect of having carbon monoxide present – instead call the

emergency services.

3.14

Contact a doctor immediately or go to hospital - let them know that you suspect

carbon monoxide poisoning.

3.15

DO NOT use in an enclosed area or a moving vehicle

3.16

GENERAL FUEL SAFETY (where applicable).

CAUTION

ALL FUELS ARE FLAMMABLE

Fire hazard - keep fuel away from all sources of ignition for example heaters, lamps, sparks

from grinding or welding.

3.19

Pay attention when handling fuel. Petrol is flammable and the vapors are highly explosive.

3.20

Never remove the fuel cap or add fuel with the engine running. Stop the engine and allow

to cool before refueling. Never fuel machine indoors or in a confined space. DO NOT

overfill with petrol – always leave a 15mm gap at the top of the fuel tank.

DO NOT smoke while adding fuel or around machine while operating.

3.22

Fill your engine with SAE10w-30/15w-40 engine oil before use or serious damage will

occur.

3.23

Never refuel or store the machine in a place where there is open flame, spark or other

forms of open flames or ignition.

3.24

DO NOT attempt to start the engine if fuel is spilled. Wipe away the spillage and ensure all

fuel has dried before starting the machine.

3.25

ALWAYS make sure the fuel cap is securely tightened and replaced before starting.

3.26

If the fuel tank needs to be drained, it should be done outdoors and into an approved

container.

3.27

DO NOT carry out hot work on tanks that have contained fuel it is extremely dangerous.

ALWAYS keep work area clean and tidy.

3.29

ALWAYS clean up all spills promptly using correct methods i.e. absorbent granules and

a lidded bin.

ALWAYS dispose of waste fuels correctly.

FUELING/DE-FUELING (where applicable).

ALWAYS fuel and defuel in a well-ventilated area outside of buildings.

ALWAYS wear correct, suitable and fit for purpose Personal Protective Equipment (PPE),

suggested items are but not limited to safety gloves and overalls.

When fueling/de-fueling ALWAYS avoid inhaling fumes.

3.36

When de-fueling ALWAYS use a propriety fuel retriever.

3.37

ALWAYS carry fuel in the correct and clearly marked container.

3.38

ELECTRICAL SAFETY (where applicable).

Electricity can kill - NEVER work on LIVE/ENERGISED equipment.

Prior to carrying out any maintenance work you MUST Identify electrical isolation

methods and isolate all electrical supplies,

Prior to use and with all electrical supplies isolated You MUST check all electrical

cables, plugs and connections for the following;

3.42

Are intact and have no signs of damage, to include but not limited to bare wires,

chaffing, cuts and loose wiring.

3.43

If there are any signs of damage, the damaged item MUST be taken out of service until

the damage has been repaired by an electrically competent person.

3.44

All trailing cables should be routed so as not to cause any kind of trip hazard.

3.45

NEVER work on or near electricity with wet hands, wet clothing, and wet gloves.

3.46

BATTERIES (where present).

3.47

Batteries present a risk if they become damaged by the possible leaking of

electrolyte. This electrolyte is an acid and can cause serious burn injuries. Care should

be taken when working on or near them. NOTE the electrolyte may be in liquid or gel

form.

Should you come into contact with electrolyte you should;

3.49

Remove all clothing contaminated with electrolyte. If you cannot remove then saturate in

water.

3.50

Get medical assistance as soon as possible. You must advise the medical staff of the type

acid.

3.51

Lead/acid battery = dilute sulphuric acid.

3.52

Nickel/cadmium = potassium hydroxide alkali electrolyte.

3.53

Use fresh running water to wash off excess electrolyte, continue this until medical

assistance arrives. Make sure that you do not wash the electrolyte to another part of the

face or body.

If electrolyte comes into contact with eyes the electrolyte needs to be immediately

washed away with large amounts of water. Make sure that you do not wash the

electrolyte to another part of the face or body.

3.55

Gasses from charging batteries are highly flammable and great care should be taken to

charge in well ventilated areas.

There is an explosion risk if the battery terminals are short circuited, when

connecting / dis-

connecting ALWAYS exercise great care so that the terminals or battery leads are NOT

allowed to touch and cause a spark. ALWAYS use suitable insulated tools.

VIBRATIONS (where applicable).

3.58

Prolonged use of hand held (operated) machines will cause the user to feel the effects

of/from vibrations. These vibrations can lead to white finger (Raynaud’s phenomenon) or

carpal tunnel syndrome. This condition reduces the ability of the hand to feel and regulate

temperature, causing numbness and heat sensations and may cause nerve damage and

circulatory tissue death.

Not all factors that lead to white finger disease are known, but cold weather, smoking and

other diseases that affect blood vessels and blood circulation as well as large and long-

lasting impact of shocks are considered factors in the formation of white finger. Note the

following to reduce the risk the white finger and carpal tunnel syndrome:

Wear gloves and keep your hands warm.

Take regular breaks.

All of the above precautions may help reduce the risk of white finger disease but not rule

out carpal tunnel syndrome. Long-term and regular users are therefore recommended to

observe the condition of your hands and fingers. Seek medical attention immediately if any

of the above symptoms should occur.

NOISE (where applicable).

The operating noise of the machine can damage your hearing. Wear hearing protection such

as earplugs or ear defenders to protect your hearing. Long- term and regular users are

advised to have hearing checked regularly. Be especially vigilant and cautious when wearing

hearing protection because your ability to hear alarm warnings will be reduced.

Noise emissions for this equipment is unavoidable. Carry out noisy work at approved times

and for certain periods. Limit the working time to a minimum. For your personal protection

and protection of people working nearby it is also advisable for them to wear hearing

protection.

The generator is only to be used for the purpose outlined in this manual.

The object of this manual is to help you use your machine safely and to give you information

about how to maintain your machine. Please read the manual carefully before attempting to

use the machine.

If after reading the user manual you are still unsure about the safety risks associated with use

of the machine, you should not use the machine. Please contact your dealer for more

information.

These safety instructions only address the basics for safe use. It would be impossible in the

safety instructions to describe all possible risk situations that could arise when using the

machine. You can, however, prevent accidents by always using common sense.

USAGE RESTRICTIONS

The generator can be dangerous if used incorrectly or without due care and can lead to

serious accidents, in the worst cases even fatal accidents. It is very important that you read

this user manual and understand the instructions before you attempt to use the machine.

Under no circumstances may the original design of the machine be modified without written

approval from the manufacturer. Such modifications not only affect the performance and

durability of the machine but many even pose a safety risk for users and those in the vicinity.

Unauthorised modifications to the design of the machine may absolve the manufacturer from

liability for any resulting personal injury or property damage. Modifying the machine without

written approval from the manufacturer may void the guarantee.

Follow all safety instructions. Failure may result in injury to yourself or others.

Accident prevention regulations, other general safety regulation, occupational safety rules and

traffic regulation must be followed without fail.

All users MUST be trained in use of the machine. The owner is responsible for training users.

You MUST use an authorised workshop for all service and repairs not described in this

manual.

You MUST learn how to use the machine and its controls safely and learn to recognise the

safely labels.

Check that the machine is in a serviceable condition prior to use.

Only use the machine in daylight or in other well-lit conditions. Keep the machine a safe

distance from holes or other irregularities in the ground. Pay attention to other all other

possible risks.

Only allow the machine to be used by adults who are trained in its use.

NEVER allow children or persons not trained in the use of the machine to use or service it

local by- laws may regulate the age of the user.

People and animals can distract you causing you to lose control of the machine. For this

reason, you should always concentrate and focus on the task at hand.

NEVER leave the machine unsupervised with the engine running. You MUST always disable

machine to stop others using it in your absence.

You MUST make sure that there is always another person in the safe vicinity of your work

area so that help is available should an emergency arise.

The machine is tested and approved only with the equipment originally provided or

recommended by the manufacturer.

The engine can become very hot. To avoid being burned, you must turn off the engine and

wait until all parts have sufficiently cooled before touching the engine or exhaust.

3.90

Overexposure to vibration may lead circulatory or nerve damage, particularly in people who

have impaired circulation. Contact your doctor if you experience symptoms that could have

been caused by overexposure to vibration. Examples of common symptoms include

numbness, pain, muscle weakness, change of skin color or an uncomfortable feeling of

tingling. These symptoms appear most frequently in the fingers, hands or wrists.

NEVER use a stump grinder that is damaged or incorrectly adjusted. NEVER use the stump

grinder if any component is missing or if it is not properly assembled. ALWAYS check that the

cutting tools stop rotating when you fully reduce the throttle. If you find yourself in a situation

where you are not sure what to do, you MUST always seek expert assistance. DO NOT try to

solve any problem you are not qualified to resolve.

Before starting work you MUST clear the work area of any unnecessary materials, rubbish

etc. that may cause the user to trip, slip or fall or the stump grinder to become entangled.

You MUST always wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

SAFETY NOTES

The user of this machine MUST be over 18 years of age.

Read and understand the user manual before using the generator.

The machine should be positioned on a firm and level surface in order to avoid overturning or

spilling fuel

DO NOT touch the hot muffler, when the generator is running, or before cooling.

3.99

When working in a confined area, always make sure there is sufficient space around

the

machine to reduce the risk of injury and there is good ventilation from exhaust fumes. • The

emission of engine contains poisonous carbon monoxide. NEVER run the generator inside a

home or garage, even if door or window is open.

3.100

ONLY one person at a time should operate the machine.

3.101

DO NOT store the generator before cooling.

3.102

Petrol is explosive and flammable in the specified conditions.

3.103

Refueling in the ventilated condition.

3.104

DO NOT smoke or allow sparks or flames near generator when refueling. Clean away the

spilling fuel before running generator.

3.105

DO NOT connect to the supply mains system or other generator, in order to avoid the electric

shocks and fires.

If generator provides an AC parallel output function, ONLY parallel with same models.

Use only original parts for maintaining your generator, otherwise the warranty will be

void.

The generator should ONLY be repaired by a skilled dealer / service-point. Major repair

should be carried out after the generator has completely cooled and only by professionally

trained person

When in operation the generator noise will exceed 90 dB (A). Therefore all users and

onlookers must wear ear-protection.

Keep the operation area clean and free from foreign objects.

3.111

DO NOT operate the generator in the presence of flammable liquids, gas or dust.

Keep Children, bystanders and pets away whilst operating generator. Keep the area free of all

distractions.

3.113

ONLY responsible, properly instructed individuals should operate this machine.

Inexperienced operators must always be supervised by an experienced operator.

DO NOT expose the generator to rain, snowing or wet conditions.

DO NOT operate with wet hand

Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating the generator.

DO NOT use a generator while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or

medications. A moment of inattention while operating this machine may result in serious

personal injury.

Use proper personal safety equipment, safety equipment such as dust mask, nonslip safety

boots, hard hat, gloves and hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce

personal injuries.

3.119

Dress appropriately. DO NOT wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and

gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can get caught in moving

parts.

Always wear earplugs or ear muffs to protect your ears.

DO NOT make any alterations or modifications to your generator.

DO NOT use the generator in underground working and potentially explosive condition.

If circuit breakers require replacement, they should be replaced with a circuit breaker having

identical ratings and performances characteristics.

4. COMPONENTS

ADDING OIL & PETROL TO THE ENGINE

5.1

Be sure the generator is on a leveled surface and the generator has stopped.

5.2

Remove the oil filler cap, and then clean it with cloths Reinsert it into the crankcase, and take

out to check oil level, If the oil level reduces at the bottom of the oil filler cap, add the engine

oil. Using non-detergent or 2-stroke oil could shorten the engines working life.

5.3

ONLY fill the fuel to a level 15mm lower than the top of the fuel tank. DO NOT OVERFILL.

5.4

Use the dipstick to check the oil level. Use SAE10w30 or 15w40 engine oil. Fill to the correct

level before use.

5.5

The engine is shipped without oil. Fill to the top of the oil filler neck before use. Operating the

engine with no oil or oil at low level will cause serious internal damage to the engine, this is

not covered under warranty.

5.6

Carefully use and store the engine oil, avoid getting dirt or dust into the engine oil.

5.7

Mixing different kinds of engine oil is prohibited.

5.8

Before the engine oil reduces below the safety margin, low oil alert system will close the

engine automatically. The oil alert indicator light (red) will be on. (To avoid the inconvenience

caused by unexpected stopping, it is still advisable to check the engine oil level regularly).

5.9

Use unleaded petrol, never use stale or contaminated petrol or an oil/gasoline mixture.

5.10

Avoid getting dirt or water into the fuel tank. DO NOT use a mixture of petrol containing

ethanol or methanol; otherwise, it will seriously damage the engine.

5.11

DO NOT overfill the fuel tank (no fuel above the red upper limit mark). After refueling, make

sure the fuel cap is closed properly and securely.

5.12

DO NOT spill fuel around the fuel tank before starting the engine.

5.13

DO NOT use the machine if you are tired, consumed alcohol, or if you are taking other drugs

or medication that can affect your vision, judgement or coordination.

5.14

NEVER use the machine indoors or in spaces lacking proper ventilation.

5.15

Naked flames or sparks in the vicinity of the machine are strictly forbidden. Petrol is extremely

flammable and carelessness in handling can result in personal injury of fire.

5.16

NEVER use a machine with a deflective exhaust/muffler.

5.17

In very warm and dry climates, generator operation will pose a greater risk of starting fires.

5. OPERATION

6.1

STARTING THE ENGINE

a) Before starting engine, disconnect the load with an AC receptacle.

b) Fueling at the first time, refueling, or storing for a long time, the Engine Switch should

firstly be opened for ten or twenty seconds, in order to the enough fuel enter into

carburetor.

c) Recoil Start – turn the fuel switch to ‘OPEN’ position.

d) Turn Engine Switch to the ‘ON’ position.

6. STARTING PROCEDURE

e) Move the choke lever to ‘CLOSE’ position. (DO NOT use the choke when engine is hot

and ambient temperature is high).

f) Pull the starter rope lightly until resistance is felt then pull briskly. Do not allow the pull

cord to snap back, return it by hand to prevent damage to the starter. This may cause the

cutter wheel to rotate, keep everyone away.

NOTE

• Return the starter grip slowly by hand. Do not make the starter grip spring back quickly.

• Avoid to injury by the sudden change of rotation direction of the engine, during recoil

starting.

g) When engine starts, or fires, move the choke lever to the open/run position.

h) If the engine is cold, allow the engine to tick over (throttle set to slow speed) for a few

minutes before cutting, increase engine rpm to high speed setting before use. Please note

that the centrifugal clutch may slip which will cause excessive wear if the machine is used

at speeds below half throttle.

NOTE

• If the generator stops and cannot restart, check the fuel switch/choke firstly. Then

check the fuel level. If the oil indicator is on, adding the oil before restart.

7.1

The generator ground terminal is connected to the frame of the generator, the metal non-

current carrying parts of the generator and ground terminal of each receptacle. Before using

the ground terminal consult a qualified electrician, electrical inspector or local agency having

jurisdiction for local codes or ordinance that apply to the intended use the generator.

7.2

DO NOT connect to the building's electrical system, in order to avoid the electric shocks and

fires

7.3

Connection for standby power to building electrical system must be made by a qualified

electrician. The connection must isolate the generator from the utility power, and must comply

with all the applicable laws and electrical regulations. A transfer switch must be used.

7.4

Due to high mechanical stresses, only tough rubber-sheathed flexible cable (in accordance

with IEC 60245-4) or the equivalent should be used

7.5

For continuous operation, do not exceed the rated out-put power of generator.

7.6

DO NOT connect the generator to household circuit. This could cause damage to the

generator or to electrical appliances in the house.

7. GENERATOR USE

7.7

DO NOT make parallel connection with other generators.

7.8

DO NOT connect an extension to the exhaust pipe.

7.9

When an extension cable is required, be sure to use a tough rubber sheathed flexible cable

(according to IEC245 or equivalent standards). The length of the extension cable: 60m for

cable of 1.5 m m2; 1 00m for cable of 2.5mm2

7.10

Keep away from other electric cables or wires. Such as: commercial power supply lines.

8.1

In normal operating, output indicator light (GREEN) will remain on.

8.2

If the generator is overload (over 3.0kVA), or the connected appliance is short-circuit, the

output indicator light (GREEN) is off, and overload indicator light (RED) is on. The AC output

will be switched off, but engine is still running.

8.3

When you start the engine, it is normal that both of the Overload Indicator Light (RED) and

Output Indicator Light (GREEN) are ‘ON’ simultaneously. Overload Indicator Light will be

OFF after 5 seconds, otherwise contact you dealer.

8. OUTPUT & OVERLOAD INDICATOR

9.1

The oil alert system is designed to prevent engine damage caused by a insufficient amount of

oil in the crankcase. Before the oil level in the crankcase falls below a safe limit, the oil alert

system will automatically shut down the engine (the engine switch remains in the ‘ON’

position).

9.2

If the oil alert system shuts down the engine the oil alert indicator light ‘RED’ will be on check

the engine oil level.

EMERGENCY STOPPING THE ENGINE

9.3

To stop the engine in an emergency, turn the engine switch to the "OFF" position.

9.4

Switch off the connected electrical appliances and pull out their plugs.

9. OIL ALERT SYSTEM & EMERGENCY ENGINE STOP

Turn the fuel switch to the "OFF" position.

9.6

Turn the engine switch to the "OFF" position.
