This manual guides you through the installation and operation of the
. It applies to Ethernet/IP.
EtherNet/IP
Fieldbus Kit (KFB-EN)
The communication board that is part of the KFB-EN kit is directly installed on the CC9
control board, connected to the XC140 connector, and supported by spacers as presented
in Figure 1.

Make sure the incoming power supply is disconnected before installing any additional
components on the drive.
Many components may remain charged with high voltages even after the incoming
power supply has been disconnected. Wait for at least 10 minutes before touching any
electrical component.
Description
EtherNet/IP Anybus-S Communication Board.
150mm Ethernet Cable (Cat5e).
Plastic Spacer.
M3x6mm Male/Female Metal Spacer.
RJ45 Ethernet Connector.
M3 Hexagonal Nut.
M3 Flat Washer Zinc.
M3x5 Philips Screw with Pressure Washer.
Floppy Disk containing the configuration file.
Metal Parts for support/closing (size 1, size 2, and sizes 3 to 10).

It will be necessary to remove the control board of the drive to install the metal
spacer that comes with the kit.
Only one of the closing metal parts will be used (size 1, size 2, or sizes 3 to 10).
Follow steps below for the installation of the communication kit:
Check if all listed items are included on the kit package
In case another expansion board (EBA/EBB boards) is already installed on the
drive, remove it temporally to install the communication board
Install the metal spacer that comes with the kit on the CC9 control board
Install the plastic spacer as well
Carefully insert the communication board connector into the XC140 female
connector on the CC9 control board. Make sure to perfect align connector pins
Carefully press the board down (near XC140 connector and at the bottom corner)
until the connector is firmly seated into the plastic spacer
Fasten the control board to the metal spacer by using the screw provided with the kit

Replace the product metal plate with the new plate that comes with the kit
Install the RJ45 Ethernet connector on the new metal plate
Interconnect the Fieldbus connector (on the communication board) and the RJ45
connector (installed on the drive metal plate) by using the 150mm cable.

Install the metal “L” that comes with the kit
Install the RJ45 Ethernet connector on the metal “L”
Interconnect the Fieldbus connector (on the communication board) and the RJ45
connector by using the 150mm Ethernet cable
Firmly secure the assembly to the metal plate that supports the control board.
