Introduction
Serial ports have long been one of the most popular interfaces in the
history of computers. They are widely adopted by most peripheral
devices. However, as most motherboards are beginning to omit these
legacy ports, this leaves some special applications without a port to
connect to. Our PCI-based Serial cards will certainly help you out.

Connector And Jumper Settings
JP8: COM A, not used.
JP3: COM B, not used.
JP4: COM C, connect to secondary bracket with DB9M
JP5: COM D, connect to secondary bracket with DB9M
JP10: COM E, connect to third bracket with DB9M (HS-PCI-100 only)
JP11: COM F, connect to third bracket with DB9M (HS-PCI-100 only)
Notice: COM C-F can support up to 460.8 Kbps depending on the
jumper setting of J1 (see below).
J1: Select clock input
Short 1-2, UART clock for 115.2Kb/sec data rate (default)
Short 3-4, UART clock for 230.4Kb/sec data rate
Short 5-6, UART clock for 460.8Kbsec data rate

Driver Installation
For Windows® XP
1. At the Found New Hardware Wizard, click Next.
2. Select Search for a suitable driver for my device
(recommended), and click Next.
3. Check Specify a location, uncheck the other boxes, then click
Next.
4. Insert the Driver CD, type in the following path
D:\Drivers\PCI\DS,QS,HS-PCI-100\XP then click OK. (Change
D: to match your CD-ROM driver letter)
5. Click Next and Finish.
6. Restart Windows to complete the installation.
Windows® 2000, Server 2003 & Vista undergo normal driver
installation procedure similar to above.
