Continuous recording

WhenthecapacityoftheSDcardhasbeenreached,theoldestfilesareoverwrittenbythelatestonesina
“roundrobin”,firstin,firstoutfashion.
Pre and post event recording
WhenimpactorunusualaccelerationordecelerationisdetectedbythebuiltinGSensorandhas
exceededthepresetlimitoroneactivatesthemanualemergencyrecordbutton,therecordedvideo
dataislockedinandiserasedonlybyanauthorizedpartyandbyusingaPCorlaptop,
accessingtheSD
card.Eventdatarecords1minutebeforeand1minuteafter(Note:TheUsermaysetthepreeventtime

parameterswillbeuploadedintotherecorder.Aspreviouslymentioned,
storedeventrecordingdataintheSDcardwillnotbeerasedbytheunit,andwherethismustbedone

card.ByremovingtheSDcardandaccessingthePlayerfolderanddoubleclickingonthe“Player .exe”
linestartstheplaybac ksoftware.
Data analysis
Therecordeddatacan beeasilyanalyzedforspeed,vehiclelocationanddirectionoftravelincluding
impactbyusingthePlayerthatisfoundonconv eniently onthesuppliedSDcard.
Unlikeotherincarrecordingsystems,theDriveRecorderisused
torecordbothvideoandaudiodatainacontinuousloopfashion.
Ifthevehicleisinvolvedinanaccidentsuchasacollision,impact,
andsuddenaccelerationrelatedincident,thisdataismarkedand
stored.Onemaythereafteranalyze
thedatatofinditsrootcause
by playing back the scenes of interest and where acceleration,
vehicle speed, direction, and location are available for review.

Operation sequence
Preparation for video recording
1. Check to see whether the SD memory card has been inserted in to the device. and
connectthepowercable
2. If the device is connected to power, [HELLO] appears on the LCD display, indicating
thatthevideorecorderisinitializing.
3. After a few seconds, a chime sound will
occur and the continuous recording will be
conductedwhiledrivingthevehicle.
Continuous recording while driving
1. DriveRecorderinformsyouofyourvehicle’sspeed,whenstopped,theunititdisplaysthetime.
2. Whenthecapacityof theSDcardhasbeenreached,theoldestfilesareoverwrittenfor
continuousrecording.Theda tarecordedbyeit hertheunit’sinternalGSensororexternal manual
record
buttonarenotoverwritten.(T hisalarmdatamustbeerasedbytheUserwiththeSDcard
insertedinthecomputer,erasingeventdata intheDA TAfolder.)
3. Whenyoustoptheengineorremovethepowercablefromthecigarettelighterplug ,thedevice
stopsrecording.
