2 Installation
Run the bus cable through the large grommet
Fit the holding frame as shown at the desired position in the room using the
anchors and screws provided
The large grommet must be on the right!
It is recommended to install the device above a flush-mounted socket so that
there is plenty of space to stow away the bus cable.
2.1 Initial start-up
NOTICE
You should have the initial startup carried out by the authorised heating engineer
from Froling customer services.
2.1.1 Connecting the bus cable
For the bus connections between the individual modules, cable type
LIYCY paired 2x2x0.5 should be used. The connection to the 5-pin plugs should be
carried out according to the following diagram:

2.1.2 Setting end jumpers
To ensure that the bus system continues to work properly,
the end jumpers (J) need to be set.
If there is an RBG 3200 Touch at the end of a bus
system, the end jumper at this module must be set. All
the previous ones, with the exception of that at the
core module, have to be deleted.
2.1.3 Calibrate the display
Once the power supply has been switched on for the first time, the RBG 3200 Touch
starts by calibrating the display. To calibrate the touchscreen, you much press five
points indicated by a crosshair in the order shown.
NOTICE
Inaccurate calibration
If you do not tap the indicated points accurately, the control may stop working
properly and a software update may be required.
2.1.4 Setting the module address
Once the display has been calibrated, the module address must be set. If it is the first
RBG 3200 Touch in the bus system, set module address 1. Number any others in
sequence.
NOTICE! Do not select an address of 0 as it leads to malfunctions with the RBG 3200
Touch!
2Installation
Initial start-up
6 Froling GesmbH | A-4710 Grieskirchen, Industriestraße 12 | www.froeling.com
Once you have set the module address, you will need to restart the boiler controller
(switch main switch on boiler off and on). All of the system information will then be
loaded into the RBG 3200 Touch. This process can be time-consuming.
The following screen appears after the RBG 3200 Touch’s first system start:
The basic screen displays only the external temperature as no components have been
assigned to the RBG 3200 Touch yet.
