Forinitialsetup,youneedtoconnecttheYcamdirectlytoyourrouter,switchorcomputerviaanetworkcable.You
cannotconnectwirelesslytothecamerawithoutfirstsettingitupviaanetworkcable.
YoushouldconnecttheYcamintoyourinternetrouter(normallysuppliedbyyourbroadbandprovider),aswitchbox
orhub(thatisconnectedtoyourcomputersnetwork)ordirectlytoyourcomputer(giveslimitedviewingoptions,sothis
isnotrecommended).
3.1 ConnectingyourYcamintoaRouter/Switch
UsingthestandardEthernetnetworkcable,plugthisintothenetworkconnectionsocketontheYcamatoneend,and
plugtheotherendintoaspareportonyourrouter/switch.
UsingthePowerAdaptor(supplied),plugoneendintothePowerConnectionsocketontheYcam.Plugtheotherend
intoanelectricalsocketandturnthepoweron.
TheConnectivityStatusindicatoronthefrontofthecamerawilllightup.Yourrouter/switchwillthenbeginto

TheYcamSetuputilitycaneasilyandquicklydetectcamerasconnectedtoyourlocalnetworkandlistthemonthe
CameraSetupwindow;alsoyoucanusetheYcamSetuputilitytoassignanIPaddresstoea chcamera.
4.1 YcamSoftwareInstallationforPC
1. InserttheInstallationCDintoyourCDROMdriveandtheinstallationscreenshouldappearautomatically
(Seeimagebelow).Ifitdoesnot,click“Start”then“Run”.Inthetextfieldenter“D:\autorun.exe”(if“D:”is

wanttosetuptheTCP/IPsettingsofthecamerabeforeyouconnecttoit,ifDHCPisdisabledacrossyournetwork,orif
youhavesubnetnetworkproblems.
AssigninganIPaddresstotheCamerawithYcamSetuputility
1.LaunchCameraSetupprogramtodetectcamerasonthelocalnetwork.
2.Clickon“Setup”buttonandthefollowingsetupinte rfacewillpopup.
3. Enterauniquenameforthecamera,thelocation(optional)andleavethedefaultportnumberas80.“ObtainanIP
addressautomatically”and“ObtainDNSserveraddressautomatically”areselectedbydefault,ifyouareconfident

Nowyouhaveyourcameraattachedandthesoftwareready,youarereadytofindyourcameraonyournetwork.
DoubleclicktheYcamicononyourDesktoptolaunchtheYcamSetupprogram.
TheYcamSetuputilityshouldautomaticallyfindyourcameraifitiscorrectlyconnected(Seeimagebelow).

Sometimestheprogrammaytakeafewminutestofindyourcamera,soifyourcameraisn’tdisplayed,waitafew
momentsandthenclick“Refresh”tosearchforcamerasagain. 
[Setup]‐SelecttherequiredcameraandclickSetuptoconfigurethenetworksettingsforthecamera.
[Open]‐SelecttherequiredcameraandclickOpentoaccessthecameraviaawebbrowser(sameasdoubleclick)
[Exit]‐ClickExittoexittheCameraSetupwindow.
AnytimeyoulosetheIPaddressofyourYcamcamera,youcanruntheSetupSoftwaretoeasilyfinditagain.
