IN TRO DUC TION:THESE PARTS MAY HAVE BEEN IN STALLED WITH OUT PROPER HEAT TREAT MENT.

IN STRUC TIONS:

NOTE: Moo ney Spe cial Tool GSE 030012 will be re quired to ac com plish this re place ment ac tion.

1. Jack air craft per Serv ice and Main te nance (S & M) Man ual, Sec tion 7.

2. Dis con nect out board gear door rods (fwd & aft) on LH & RH main gear doors.

3. Fully re tract main land ing gear us ing safety over ride switch af ter plac ing land ing gear switch han dle in

the UP po si tion.

4. Re move the grease fit ting from LH & RH pivot bear ing on for ward spar.

5. Re move AN380- 2-2 cot ter pin and AN310-3 nut from spring at tach ment link bolt on main land i ng gear

leg as sem bly. (See Fig ure 1)

6. At tach GSE 030012 spe cial tool for ward of spring at tach ment link, P/N 560013- 000, with an AN3- 12A

bolt as shown in Fig ure 1. Ro tate GSE tool in out board di rec tion us ing up per trun ion shaft of land ing gear

leg as a ful crum point.

7. AN3-5 bolt can be re moved from link and MLG leg as sem bly when suf fi cient lev er age is ap p lied to

GSE 030012 tool.

8. Re move AN3- 12A bolt from GSE tool and old link. Re move 560013- 000 link from re trac tion spring coil.

9. Place AN3- 12A bolt back in GSE tool and a new link from this kit.

10. Re move and re place ex ist ing links, LH & RH gear, with the new links (in cluded in kit) us i ng re verse

se quence of steps 4 thru 9.

11. Ex tend land ing gear and re con nect both rods (fwd & aft) to LH & RH gear doors.

12. Per form a gear op era tion check per S & M, Sec tion 32, and cor rect any dis crep an cies be fore tak ing

air craft from jacks.

13. En ter com pli ance note in air craft log book and re turn air craft to serv ice.

This kit should be or dered from the Moo ney Serv ice Cen ter in your area. The re place ment of these links will be

han dled un der the nor mal War ranty of each air craft.

Up to 1.5 hours la bor will be al lowed if a War ranty Claim and the two re placed links are sub mit ted to the

Serv ice Parts De part ment within 180 days of the date of this Serv ice Bul le tin.
