GENERAL PRECAUTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
x
During and after use of the oven, certain parts of
the appliance can become very hot (e.g. the oven
door window) so it is advisable to avoid contact
with these parts.
x
Keep children well away from the oven, particularly
while it is in use.
x
Do not place any flammable material in the oven or
accessory drawer. Such materials would risk actually
catching fire when the oven is in use.
x
Make sure that the power cords connecting other
electrical appliances in the immediate vicinity of
the cooker cannot come into contact with the
hotplates or become trapped in the oven door.
x
Never line the oven walls with aluminium foil. Do
not place baking trays or the drip tray on the
bottom of the oven chamber.
x
The manufacturer can accept no liability for any
personal injury or damage to property caused by
improper use of the appliance.
x
The various oven components are suitable for
recycling or re-use. Dispose of them in compliance
with current local regulations. If the appliance is to
be scrapped, cut off the power cord.

USING THE NORMAL AND HIGH-SPEED HOTPLATES
Note:
The yellow indicator light remains on all the time a hotplate is on.
Position the control knob as required:
1. For cooking and reheating: position “5” or “6”;
2. For roasting: position “4”;
3. For completing a cooking process: position “2” or “3”;
4. For completing a cooking process and keeping food warm: position “1”;
5. To switch off: position “0”.
x
Adjust the knob on a higher or lower position, as necessary.
x
For delicate foods, it is best to reduce the temperature.
HIGH-SPEED HOTPLATES
These are convenient for getting the cooking process underway very quickly.
ENERGY SAVING RECOMMENDATIONS
To save on energy consumption, make use of the residual heat. To do so, position the
knob on “0” for the last 5-10 minutes of the cooking or roasting time.
RECOMMENDATIONS ON COOKING UTENSILS
x
Use pans specifically designed for electric hobs, with a very flat, heavy base. For
example, pans with turned heavy bases are ideal.
x
Pans with bottoms that are not flat mean longer cooking times and a consequently
greater energy consumption.
x
Thepanmustbethesamesizeasthehotplate,orslightlylarger.
x
Always cover pans with lids to save energy.
x
Do not place damp or steamy lids on the hob.
x
Place the pan on the hotplate before you switch it on.

USING THE OVEN
Fan-assisted convection system
The air is drawn in through openings provided in the
rear wall of the oven and then heated before it is
circulated in the oven chamber.
The fan-assisted convection ensures an even
distribution of the heat inside the oven and allows for
food to be cooked simultaneously on three different
oven levels. The temperatures needed for convection
cooking are also lower than for conventional radiant
heat cooking (see “Temperature settings”).
Heating from above and below
Inside the oven the heating elements are located on
the oven floor and ceiling. Heat is supplied by
radiation.
Switching on and off
To switch on the oven, turn the oven function knob
and the thermostat knob to the required
positions.
Theovenfunctionknob

direction for starting and stopping.
For the oven to come on, the thermostat control
must be turned to the right until the required
temperature is reached. To switch it off, the
thermostat control is turned to the left, back to the
x
position.
Preheating
Preheating is unnecessary for baking or roasting foods
in general. Preheating is recommended, however, for
biscuits and foods requiring short cooking times (such
as pastries, etc.). Refer to the tables of cooking times.
Selecting the temperature for convection cooking
Fan-assisted convection cooking temperatures are
generally 20
o
Cto40
o
C lower than for natural
convection (heating from above and below).

Summary table
Cooking modes and temperatures
The following table shows the options available as
concerns cooking modes and oven temperatures.
Saving energy
With almost all cooking methods, you can make use of
the residual heat in the oven by positioning the knob
on “0” about 5-10 minutes before the end of the
cooking time. You can also cook side dishes, e.g.
potatoes, rice or vegetables, in the oven at the same
time as the meat.
Side racks
The oven has two removable side racks which allow for
four different oven-loading positions. They provide
support for the drip tray, baking tray and/or grid,
which slide between the two guides on either side of
the oven, at the same height. When you fit the tray or
grid, take care to position it correctly so that it is
horizontal. For the choice of the best oven position,
refer to the baking and grilling tables.
Fat filter
The purpose of the fat filter is to avoid the fan
becoming dirty while food is cooking, whatever the
cooking mode involved.
Use the fat filter only when it is strictly necessary, i.e.
for roasting and grilling. Do not use it for baking
cakes, etc..

USING THE OVEN
Conventional grilling
Very important note:
The oven door must always be left slightly ajar.
Fit the heat screen (provided with the accessories) in order
to protect the control panel from the heat escaping from
the oven.
Turn on the grill by positioning the oven function selector
on
and select the required temperature setting with
the thermostat control.
Preheat the oven for five minutes with the door ajar.
When you add the food, make sure that the roast is placed
as close as possible to the grill.
Sterilizing
Use only the commercially-available jars for sterilizing in the oven. Bottles, tins and containers with sealed lids must
be sterilized in a sterilizer. Meat, sausages and all foods in purée form, such as apple sauce, tomato purée, etc., must
be sterilized in a sterilizer.
For sterilizing in the oven, proceed as follows:
x
Prepare the jars and rubber seals with due care.
x
The containers must all be the same size and contain the same amount of product. It is inadvisable to use tall
containers, since their tops might fly off.
x
For bottled fruit, fill the jars up to 2 cm from the brim; in the case of vegetables, fill them up to 5 cm from the
brim.
x
Moisten the rubber seals and place them on the containers.
x
Close the jars carefully with the tops and clips.
x
Place the oven function knob on and the thermostat control on 170-180
o
C. Preheat the oven.
x
Place the drip tray on the lowest oven position.
x
Place the jars on the drip tray, taking care to ensure that they do not touch each other.
x
Pour 1 liter of water into the drip tray.
x
Lower the temperature by adjusting the thermostat control to 150-160
o
C.
x
After about 50-70 minutes, air bubbles will begin to rise in the jars. If you are sterilizing fruit, you can switch off
the oven at this stage. If you are processing vegetables, lower the oven temperature by bringing the thermostat
control
back to 125-150
o
C and continue cooking for a further 60-90 minutes.
x
Comply with the following sterilizing times:
Soft fruit: 10-15 minutes of residual heat
Peaches, plums, etc.: 15-20 minutes of residual heat
Apples, pears, etc.: 30 minutes of residual heat
Vegetables: 30 minutes of residual heat
x
Leave the jars to stand for 24 hours before removing the clips.

3. If the power socket is not immediately behind the appliance, a special extension must be provided, and the length
of the power cord must be adjusted as a result. Make the connection as explained above, complying with the
voltage specifications on the appliance’s rating plate. Connect the earthing conductor to the earth terminal
X
.
4. Before powering the appliance, check the voltage to the conductors with the aid of a suitable measuring device.
5. Warning:
All repairs must be done with the appliance disconnected from the power supply (e.g. by switching off the
mains power switch).
Make absolutely sure that the neutral wire (Mp, N) is connected to the right terminals, which are numbered,
and check that the earthing conductor (the one with yellow and green stripes) is attached securely.
CONNECTING THE POWER CORD
1. Remove cover “A from the rear of the appliance by loosening the
fixing screws.
2. Connect jumpers “C” on terminal block “B”.
3. Thread the cord through cable clamp “D” and secure it.
4. Connect each conductor to the corresponding position on terminal
block “B” and connect the earthing conductor to terminal “E” as
illustrated in the wiring diagram.
5. Screw cover “A” back in place.
