Chapter 1
Introduction
Overview
Paradigm Shift in Energy Management
When energy costs were low, energy management mainly focused on controlling the total energy
supply to all loads using switchgear panels, including incoming feeders and ABS panels for stable
power supply. However, carbon pricing policies have been implemented since 2015, and energy costs
have sharply increased. This has resulted in a rapidly growing need to manage energy usage on
individual branch loads in distribution panels at various industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, IDC
centers, etc.
Limits in Applying Digital Power Meters Used in Switchgear Panels to Distribution Panels
Installing digital power meters used in existing switchgear panels at distribution panels entails
limitations, such as narrow installation space, electrical hazards arising from the voltage and current
wiring process, and high installation costs. It makes it difficult for energy managers to access energy
data on individual branch loads and devise practical energy efficiency measures for each branch load.
Power Meters Specialized for Managing Major Branch Loads
The distribution panel digital power meter product line includes Accura 2300 installed on the front of
distribution panels(including MCC panels) and Accura 2350 installed at individual branch loads inside
distribution panels. Accura 2300 collects power data from multiple Accura 2350 modules via internal
communication and displays measurement data for each branch load. This enables energy managers to
check power data on individual branch loads in distribution panels, which were unavailable with the
existing digital power meters installed at switchgear panels.
Accurate Measurements: ±0.2 %/±0.5 %1 of Reading(Voltage/Current) and Class 0.5S/Class 0.2S 2
(Active Energy)
Due to greenhouse gas emission regulations, it has recently become essential to establish enterprise-
wide energy management systems for efficient energy usage at sites such as plants, manufacturing
factories, and buildings. A key factor determining the reliability of energy management systems is the
measurement accuracy of meters. Accura 2300/2350 perform accurate voltage/current measurements
with ±0.2/±0.5 %1 of reading accuracy. It also meets IEC 62053-22 Class 0.5S/Class 0.2S2 standards for
active energy measurement. Thus, this allows for accurate analysis and diagnosis of various problems in
energy management at power facilities.
1.Accura 2350-3PSC/1PSC modules have ±0.5 % of reading accuracy for current measurement, and the maximum
accuracy error of ±1 % may occur according to the position of the holes
cables pass through.
2. Accura 2350-1PSCSH modules meet IEC 62053-22 Class 0.2S standards for active energy measurement.

A Variety of Data including Dip(Sag)/Swell Available for Power Quality Analysis
Accura 2300/2350 provide a variety of data, including dips(sags), swells and harmonics(up to 40th
order), crest factor, K-factor, and unbalance for power quality analysis. It allows energy managers to
easily identify changes in power quality in various distribution panels at power facilities, enabling
effective power quality management.
Maximum/Minimum/Average Values Available within an Aggregation Interval
Accura 2300/2350 calculate the average of the data collected every 0.5 seconds based on the data
measured over one cycle for various parameters, including voltage, current, and power. Based on this
data, it also provides the maximum/minimum/average values for various aggregation intervals, including
1 second, 5 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 1 hour and 6 hours. A measurement interval longer than 0.5
seconds refers to an aggregation interval.
Via communication, Accura 2300/2350 provide not only the average value for the 0.5-second interval
but also the maximum/minimum/average values for each aggregation interval and timestamped data
for the max/min values. Since it includes measurement data that change instantaneously during
aggregation intervals, it allows for accurate trend analysis of voltage, current and power quality.
Proven Safety and Reliability with CE/UL Certifications
The internal and external structures(product and circuit design) of Accura 2300/2350 meet safety and
reliability requirements for CE(EN 61326-1, EN 61326-2-1, EN 61010-1) and UL(UL 61010-1 3rd edition,
IEC 61010-2-030) standards.
Through-hole Type Structure for Easier and Safer Installation
Accura 2350-3P/1P power measuring modules feature the through-hole type current sensing structure
that does not require electrical contact with cables or busbars. Therefore, it ensures safety from
electrical accidents, as well as easy installations. The TM-3P terminal block also allows for easier
electrical wiring.

Compatible with MCCBs/ELBs with Various Ratings
Accura 2350-3P/1P power measuring modules are compatible with MCCBs/ ELBs with a range of current
ratings since they have identical installation dimensions and wiring hole positions. Thus, when installing
the products, it is possible to integrate them into the existing MCCBs/ELBs in distribution panels.

Split-core Structure Enabling Device Installation on Live Wires (Applicable for Split-core Modules)
Accura 2350-3PSC/1PSC/1PSCSH modules feature the split-core structure. It allows for the easy
installation of the products on live wires without the need to cut off power.
