ENSURE THAT THE ACTIVBOARD
IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE
MAINS POWER
Remove the USB and PSU connections from
the bottom right hand side of the ActivBoard as
shown opposite

Promethean Recommendation:  e following procedures are to be carried out by a competent person on
an ActivBoard that has been removed from the system
Tools Needed: NoPozi Screwdriver
ATTENTION
Observe precautions for handling ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE SENSITIVE DEVICES.
Remove thescrews from the rear cover located
on the top right hand side of the ActivBoard as
shown opposite
N.B. One of the screws may be shorter in length
when compared to the other  screws
and this MUST be refi tted into the same
original location
Hint: Place the screws with the cover so that you
know where they came from

Remove thescrews from the rear cover located
on the bottom right hand side of the ActivBoard
as shown opposite
N.B. Two of the screws may be shorter in length
when compared to the corner screw and
these MUST be refi tted into the same
original location
Hint: Place the screws with the cover so that you
know where they came from
Next, remove the screws from the right hand
side cover as shown opposite

know where they came from

Remove the cover to reveal the connections to the
Amplifi er PCA as shown opposite
Hint: Take a photo or label the connections so
that you know where everything goes!

Amplifi er PCA as shown opposite
Remove the Amplifi er PCA by pulling in the
vicinity of the screw holes the Amplifi er should
just slide out
Fitting of the replacement Amplifi er PCA is simply the reversal of the steps above
ATTENTION
The edges of the Ampli er PCA are located in a slide rail, care must be taken to reseat
into this slide rail when re tting
