2 Audio Ampliﬁer Replacement Guide

Before carrying out the following, disconnect

the ActivBoard system from the mains supply.

Next, take the replacement Audio Ampliﬁer

and ensure that the volume control is turned

fully anticlockwise.

This will prevent any damage to the Audio

Ampliﬁer or Loud Speakers.

The existing Audio Ampliﬁer is located at the

left hand side of the ActivBoard as viewed from

the front.

Looking from the rear, disconnect the three

connections to the Audio Ampliﬁer as shown

opposite.

Remove the existing Audio Ampliﬁer by

removing the two screws and then pulling the

Audio Ampliﬁer towards you.

Retain the screws for ﬁtting the replacement.

Before ﬁtting the replacement Audio Ampliﬁer

ensure that it will not be obstructed by the

internal wiring of the ActivBoard.

Engage the replacement Audio Ampliﬁer

with the mounting rails and slide the card

into position.

Push the Audio Ampliﬁer as far as it will go to

ensure correct connection is made.

Secure the Audio Ampliﬁer to the ActivBoard

with the two screws that were previously

removed. Do not over tighten.

Finally, reﬁt the three connections

removed earlier.

Note: The main power supply can be connected to

either of the two larger sockets.
