Using the plastic trim tools,
unclip the air conditioner cover
(pull hard as the clips are very
strong), first at the top A, then at
the centre B and finally at the
top C
Insert the two MERCEDES
extraction hooks into the central
air vent in D and E and make a
quarter turn
Then pull upwards to unclip the
vents which you place on the
dashboard without
disconnecting them
Unscrew screws 1, 2, 3 and 4
around the radio, then unclip the
blanking plate F above the air
conditioner and remove the
radio disconnecting the
connector and antenna cables

Using the plastic trim tools,
unclip the gear lever cover and
remove the bellows
Using the plastic trim tools,
unclip the ashtray and cigarette
lighter assembly, then place it to
the side without disconnecting
Unscrew screws 5 and 6 under
the glove box
Unfasten and half open the cover

Finding an ACC wire
Using a guide, pass an electric wire
from the cigarette lighter to the
underneath of air conditioning
control housing. Make a pigtail
connection (or use the jumper) to
the BLACK/GREEN wire
Attach the electric wire and
insulate with electrical tape (with
the Multimeter, check that the
+12V is properly controlled by the
key)

Connect the wire to +APC with a
round male terminal on the blue
wire the 84099 adapter (for the
Mki range) before the fuse
holder or invert the fuses on the
kit factory connector. Cut and
connect to the red wire between
the fuse holder and the ISO
connector (also valid for the
PC000033AA)

Glue the bracket (supplied) to the grey
part of the windscreen, after having
thoroughly degreased the surface
Using the plastic trim tools, run the
cable along the windscreen

passenger door pillar while
replacing the door seal

Connect the factory connector, invert the fuses
i.e. the RED and ORANGE wires, then cut the
RED wire between the fuse holder and the ISO
connector and connect the +APC wire above

For vehicles equipped with AUDIO 20 or 50: use the adapter 86111/PC000033AA
and the factory connector for CK (same mounting as AUDIO 5) or
84099/PC000033AA for MKI (for the PC000033AA add the factory connector and the
same mounting as the AUDIO 5)
For the adapter 84099, remove the terminals
from the blue wire before the fuse holder, then
mount a round female terminal on the +APC
wire and connect it to the blue wire

Direct adaptor cable
3 Connect all the cables on the blue box as shown on the diagram below, then test
before reassembling.
Then slide the assembly behind the air conditioning control unit

middle of the central console
cover. Then carefully disconnect it
and pass the cable behind in the
top right corner located near
screw 7
ATTENTION: When reassembling,
be careful not to cut the wire and
rescrew screws 7, 8, 9 and 10
Glue the mounting (supplied) to
the top left of the central cover
after carefully degreasing the
surface

Testing
Before refitting the system, switch the kit on using the
ignition (or by starting the car). By pushing the central knob
of the remote control, check:
1 - that the menu is displayed on the screen (language or
iPod etc)
2 - that the radio system is muted when the kit is in use (click
in the blue box)
3 - that the sound through all speakers is properly muted
4 - that there is sound through the front speakers for spoken
menus
5 - then turn off the ignition, verify that the kit turns off and
that the message “goodbye” is displayed on the screen
(otherwise reverse the fuses on the kit power supply
harness)
6 - pair a telephone with the kit and make a call (check that
both the microphone and the kit are working)

Refitting
Refit the system using the following procedure:
1 re-connect the adaptor (and the aerials) behind the car stereo and slip it into
the housing (make sure that you do not cut any screen wires)
2 re-fit the 4 screws (1, 2, 3 and 4) for the car stereo
3 - re-clip the central ventilator
4 - re-clip the air conditioner frame
5 - re-clip the ashtray
6 - re-clip the gearstick bellows to the central panel
7 - re-clip the central cover
8 - re-screw the 2 screws (3 and 4) located under the glove box
9 re-fit the right dashboard panel
10 re-test to check that the system is working correctly
