Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing this Hendi appliance. Before using the appliance for the first time, please read
this manual carefully, paying particular attention to the safety regulations outlined below.
Safety regulations
Incorrect operation and improper use of the ap-
pliance can seriously damage the appliance.
This scale may only be used for the purpose for
which it was designed. The manufacturer accepts
no liability for damage as a result of incorrect op-
eration and wrong use.
Keep the scale away from water and any other
liquids. If the appliance should accidentally fall
into water, have it checked by a certified techni-
cian.
Never try to open the housing of the scale your-
self.
Do not insert any objects into the housing of the
scale.
Do not use the scale if it has been dropped or oth-
erwise damaged. Have it checked and repaired, if
necessary, by a certified repair company.
Do not immerse the scale into the water or wash
with water.
Always place the object to be weighted at the cen-
tre of the platform.
Operate the appliance on a level, stable, clean,
heat-resistant and dry surface.
Attention: Insert batteries (not supplied) cor-
rectly with regard to the polarities (+) and (-) that
marked on the batteries with the marking in the
battery compartment.
Remove the batteries if you do not use the scale
for long period of time.
Intended use
The appliance is intended only for food weighting
in professional use.
Operating the appliance for any other purpose
shall be deemed a misuse of the device.
The user shall be solely liable for improper use
of the device.

1. TARE button: Press this button to reset the display zero or substract the weight of the container.

4. Battery compartment: Open the cover to insert the three pieces of “AAA” batteries (not supplied).

Preparation before first use
Remove all the packing material and protection
film (if applicable).
Check to make sure the appliance is undamaged.
In case of any damage, contact the supplier im-
mediately and DO NOT use the appliance.
Clean the weighting platform (5) with a slighted
damped cloth.
This is a battery-operated scale. Insert 3 x 1,5V
batteries (Type: AAA, not supplied) in the battery
compartment (4) which is at the bottom of the
scale. (See = = > Insert the batteries)
Press “ON / OFF” button (3). The scale is now
ready for use.
Insert the batteries
Open the battery compartment cover at the bot-
tom of the appliance.
Insert 3 x 1,5V batteries (Type: AAA, not included)
according to the polarity markings (+) and (-) on
the batteries and inside the battery compartment
(4).
Close the compartment cover. The LED display (2)
first as below:

• After few seconds, the LED display (2) as below:

Note: When the symbol appears on the LED
display (2), the batteries are going to exhaust.
Then, you should replace with a new set of batter-
ies. Please replace all 3 batteries at the same time.
DO NOT mix up the new and old batteries.
DO NOT dispose of exhausted batteries together
with the other household waste. Please follow the
local ordinances and recycling instruction.
Operation
(A). Weighting mode
Place the appliance on a level, stable, clean,
heat-resistant and dry surface.
Before switch on the scale, DO NOT put any ob-
jects on the weighting platform (5).
Press the ON / OFF button (3) to switch ON the
appliance in ready mode.
Next, place the object that you want to weight on
the weighting platform (5).
(B). Measure with a TARE function
This TARE function allows user to weight different
object consecutively without removing previous
object from the weighting platform (5). E.g. Sub-
tract the weight of the container as below.
1. When the appliance is OFF, press the ON / OFF
button (3) to enter weighting mode. You can
start to weight when “0” is shown on the LED
display (2).

2. Place the first object on the scale for weighting,
then the LED display (2) will show the weight of
the first object. (e.g. Bowl weights 155g)

3. Press the TARE button (1) to reset the display
to zero. Then, “TARE” icon will appear on the
LED display (2).

4. Now, put another object onto the scale. The
LED display (2) will show the weight of newly
added object. (e.g. Flour weights 85g)

5. If you remove the item added to the scale, the
LED will again show zero. But if you remove all
items from the scale, the LED will show a neg-
ative value indicated by a minus sign.
6. When it shows the negative value, press the
TARE button again, it will clear to zero.
7. If there is no operation, the scale will switch
off automatically in about 1 minute. Or you
can press and hold the ON/OFF button once to
switch the scale off.
Note: When the scale is overloaded, “EEEE” will be displayed.

Automatic Power Off
The scale is designed with an auto power off func-
tion for energy efficiency. If the same reading is
displayed for more than 1 min, then it will power
off automatically.
Cleaning and maintenance
Attention: Never immerse the scale in water or
any other liquid.
Clean the outside of the appliance with a slightly
damp cloth (water with mild detergent).
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or abra-
sives. Do not use any sharp or pointed objects.
Do not use petrol or solvents! Do not use abrasive
materials.

Warranty
Any defect affecting the functionality of the ap-
pliance which becomes apparent within one year
after purchase will be repaired by free repair or re-
placement provided the appliance has been used
and maintained in accordance with the instructions
and has not been abused or misused in any way.
Your statutory rights are not affected. If the appli-
ance is claimed under warranty, state where and
when it was purchased and include proof of pur-
chase (e.g. receipt).
In line with our policy of continuous product devel-
opment we reserve the right to change the product,
packaging and documentation specifications with-
out notice.
Discarding & Environment
When decommissioning the appliance, the prod-
uct must not be disposed of with other household
waste. Instead, it is your responsibility to dispose to
your waste equipment by handing it over to a des-
ignated collection point. Failure to follow this rule
may be penalized in accordance with applicable
regulations on waste disposal. The separate col-
lection and recycling of your waste equipment at
the time of disposal will help conserve natural re-
sources and ensure that it is recycled in a manner
that protects human health and the environment.
For more information about where you can drop off
your waste for recycling, please contact your local
waste collection company. The manufacturers and
importers do not take responsibility for recycling,
treatment and ecological disposal, either directly
or through a public system.
