OVERVIEW:
The Thermo Call TC3 provides a convenient, innovative way to operate a Webasto heater remotely with the
convenience of a phone call, text message, or use of a mobile app.
A GSM standard talk and text plan and mini size SIM card (25mm x 15mm) are required to operate the Thermo
Call TC3 unit (not included). Any usage charges associated to this service plan are the customer’s responsibility.
The Thermo Call TC3 works in such a way that each command sent or received will use either minutes or text
messages depending on how the user chooses to communicate with their Thermo Call TC3 unit.
NOTE - The Thermo Call TC3 unit does not require or use network data.

FIRST STEP – CHANGE THE ACCESS CODE
All Thermo Call devices come with a 4 digit access code to prevent unauthorized use. The first thing to do is create
a unique 4 digit access code. The default code for a new Thermo Call TC3 unit is “1234”.
1. From ANY cell phone with texting capability, text the following string:
1234PIN:####:#### where the new access code is represented as ####.
For example if you would like the new access code to be 8765 then the text string would look
like:
1234PIN:8765:8765
New access code is now set to 8765
HOW TO AUTHORIZE A PHONE TO USE WITH A THERMO CALL TC3 DEVICE:
Multiple phone numbers (up to 5 per text message) can be authorized to control the Thermo Call TC3. A total of
15 numbers can be programmed per Thermo Call TC3 device. To add more than 5 phone numbers please refer to
“How to Add Additional Phone Numbers” in the following section. Follow the steps below to authorize a new
phone number.
AUTHORIZE A PHONE FOR USE WITH A THERMO CALL TC3
Only the last 7 digits of a cell phone are to be used when programming a phone number.
From ANY cell phone with texting capability, text the following string:
1. To add 1 phone number:
####ACCLIM:1234567 (#### represents access code |1234567 represents phone number)
2. To add multiple phone numbers in 1 text message (up to 5):
####ACCLIM:1234567:1234567: (#### represents access code |1234567 represents phone number)
NOTE – When entering multiple phone numbers always separate with a colon “:” as seen above.
IMPORTANT – If a duplicate string from above is sent to the Thermo Call TC3 it will ERASE any previously saved
numbers. To add additional phone numbers, refer to the next section.

BASIC THERMO CALL TC3 COMMANDS
Below are a few commands to send to the Thermo Call TC3. There are more listed in the full operation guide that
came with your Thermo Call TC3 packaging.
TEXT COMMAND FUNCTION
START Sends an “ON” signal to the Webasto heater.
START0700
Sends a command to start the heater at a specific time. The adjacent command for
example would turn the heater on at 7:00 a.m. (24 hour format only)
STOP Sends an “OFF” signal to the Webasto heater.
STATUS
Responds with heater ON / OFF Status, the current temperature near the Thermo Call
TC3 module and the remaining heater run time.
THERMO CALL TC3 MOBILE APP
Operate your Webasto heater the modern and convenient way using a mobile app! The various functions can be
controlled easily and quickly using interactive function symbols.
These Apps are optimized for controlling a Webasto heater by telephone, in conjunction with the control element
Thermo Call TC3, and is not suitable for other versions of Thermo Call.
