• Only use correct ink ribbon cassette and paper types with
this printer. Using other paper or ink ribbon cassette types
may result in breakage.
• Before using any paper or ink ribbon cassettes, please
read their usage instructions and cautions carefully.
• Do not touch the print side of the paper.
• When holding the paper, only touch the edges of the paper (the outside of the perforations).
• Do not scratch the paper or ink ribbon cassettes, or touch the paper or ink ribbon cassettes
with wet or sweaty hands. Do not allow the print surface of the paper to become wet.
• During printing, do not open the upper or side covers, touch the lock lever, or insert or remove
an ink ribbon cassette.
• Do not touch or pull the paper during printing.
• When storing ink ribbon cassettes or paper, always place the ink ribbon cassette or paper back
in the bag in which it came.
• Do not reuse old ink ribbon cassettes or paper.
• Do not allow paper that has been printed on to come in contact with the following items:
document storage files (soft vinyl chloride files), erasers, benzene, thinners, or other organic
solvents.
• Do not fold or cut the paper perforations before printing.
• Always use ink ribbon cassette and paper from the same set. Mixing sets may result in printing
problems. (Refer to page 26 for details)
• Do not remove memory cards when the printer is operating. Do not subject memory cards to
strong vibration or shocks. Doing so may result in damage to memory card data or physical
damage.
• Do not unplug the printer or remove the AC adapter DC plug during printing. Doing so may
result in damage to memory card data or physical damage.
• Store memory cards in cool places out of direct sunlight and strong magnetic or static fields.
Failure to do so may result in damage to memory card data.
• This printer does not support 5V-only memory cards. Please use 3.3V (3V) or 3.3V / 5V dual
voltage memory cards.
• Printer operation is not guaranteed if objects other than memory cards are inserted in the
memory card slot.
• We are not responsible for any memory card data lost or damaged through use of this unit.
• Backup all data on memory cards in case of accidental data damage or deletion.
• Some memory cards may not be usable due to digital camera, camera cellular phone, memory
card, or memory card adapter specifications.
• Due to their design, memory sticks may take longer to read than memory cards.
• To avoid the unlikely possibility of data loss, do not insert or remove memory cards while the
printer is powered on.
USB port
5cm

• During printing, paper will pass in and out of the front and rear
paper slits. Do not place any obstacles within 5 cm of the front or
back of the printer.
• The printer cannot be used while laid on its side.
• The printer cannot be directly connected to a digital camera.
• Do not move the printer while printing is in progress.
• Do not unplug the printer or remove the AC adapter DC plug
during printing. Doing so may result in paper jamming.
Do not turn the power off and on or plug and unplug the USB cable
unless necessary. Printer initialization uses some of the ink print
ribbon, and repeated power cycling may lower the amount of prints that can be produced.
• Moving the printer, ink ribbon cassette, or paper from a cold location to a hot location suddenly
may result in condensation. If condensation occurs, do not turn the unit
on, but wait until the temperature of the unit has reached that of the room.
• Continuous printing of 2 images or more, as well as printing in low or high
temperature rooms, may result in printing time taking longer than normal.
• When moving the printer, place one hand at the bottom of the unit to
