The SP888D DSL/Cable Router provides web-based
configuration allowing users to configure from a wired
workstation.
1. Enter SP888D's default IP into the web browser to access
web-based settings. 1.
2. Login page will appear to prompt users to enter the
username and password.
3. Click <Wizard> to initiate quick setup for configuring general
network system information.
4. Enter the host/domain name and time zone information if
applicable and press <Next>.
5. Select a WAN connection type for Internet used by ISP. The
interface will continue to the next section for entering the
connection parameters provided by ISP.

Introduction
Micronet SP888D, DSL/Cable Router, delivers highly reliable
and scalable network environment at a cost-effective rate. The
router allows multiple network devices to share the single
Internet connection via xDSL or Cable connection. Supporting
MDI/MDIX for auto-negotiation, users can easily expand
network using normal RJ-45 cable. Sustain network security via
router's in-built firewall and DMZ functions. In addition, the
scope of the network can be easily expanded by connecting the
router to a hub or switch.

Hardware Installation
To install the SP888D DSL/Cable router, please perform the
following steps:
1. Connect the xDSL / cable modem to the WAN port of router
by Ethernet cable (RJ-45).
2. Connect the LAN port to an active PC, switch, or hub using
an Ethernet cable (RJ-45).
3. Connect the 9V AC power adapter to an active outlet.
4. Connect the adaptor to the power port on the back of the
router.
5. Check the LED indicators to verify that the device is
detecting connection on WAN and LAN port.
Warning: Using an alternate power supply, other than the one
supplied, may cause the router to malfunction.

Configuration
Follow the steps below to configure and set up DSL/Cable
Router. A computer with wired Ethernet connection to the router
is required.
IP Address Configuration
PC/Notebook must belong in the same IP range and subnet.
Follow the steps below to configure IP settings for LAN PC.
1. In the control panel, double
click on Network Connections.
Double click on the local area
connection (e.g. LAN). The
following screen will appear.
Highlight 'Internet Protocol
(TCP/IP)' and click on
'Properties'.
2. Select 'Obtain an IP
address automatically' and
'Obtain DNS server address
automatically', then click
<OK>.
