INNOVATIVE COOKTOP FEATURES
The gas cooktop you have bought has some
innovative features, compared with traditional gas
cooktops.
Easy burner lighting
after switching the cooktop on with the ON/
OFF button just turn the knob. There is no
need to keep it pressed down or to press a
separate igniter.
The burner knob can be turned in both
directions: to the right the burner goes to the
minimum, to the left it goes directly to the
maximum. There is no need to go through the
other levels.
•The ON/OFF push-button turns off all the
working burners immediately, so that you can
act quickly if there is an unexpected situation
on the cooktop (water spill, dangerous
situation with children, etc.).
With automatic relighting the cooktop can react
to the burner being turned off, relighting it
automatically. If relighting happens too
frequently, however, the cooktop recognises that
there is something wrong and informs the user.
This avoids continuous attempts to relight which
could make the product dangerous.
The minute counter can be used when the
cooktop is being used, for cooking needs, and
when the product is switched off for needs not
directly linked to the cooktop.
Instead the timer can operate directly on the
burner, turning it off automatically at the end
of the set time.
The timer can be used both with a burner
turned off, and with a burner already lit,
where cooking is taking place, just by turning
the corresponding knob: this function can be
useful when cooking must continue for a set
number of minutes once the water is boiling.
The timer can also be switched off without
turning the burner off, as at the end of normal
timer use: cooking can then continue for as
long as wished without turning the burner off.
Residual heat pilot lights at the cooktop
centre indicate that the grid is still hot.
Attention: When switching on the cooktop
after a power failure, the residual heat pilot
lights remain off, even if the grids are still
hot.
Using the search for the minimum the
cooktop can automatically identify the lowest
minimum compatible with the local gas
network distribution conditions at the time
the function is used.
1. Removable grids
2. Large burner
3. Rear medium burner
4. Front medium burner
5. Auxiliary burner
6. Control panel
Warning
Improper use of the grids can result in damage to the
hob: do not position the grids upside down or slide
them across the hob.
Do not use:
- cast iron griddles or terracotta pots and pans
- heat diffusers such as metal mesh, or any other
types
- two burners simultaneously for one receptacle
(e.g. fish kettle).

The burner can thus be used for long cooking
at the lowest level possible, without turning
the knob in the OFF direction, as in traditional
cooktops, when the knob minimum is too high.
When searching for the minimum the knob
checks the flame continuously through its
range, as it has a direct flame-knob link on all
its rotation.
As in modern cars this cooktop has self-
diagnosis capacity and can signal abnormal
situations which require the help of the
Technical After-Sales Service.
DESCRIPTION OF THE KNOBS AND COOKTOP OPERATION
COOKTOP OPERATION
Switch on the cooktop by pressing button .
Pilot light comes on. The cooktop is ready
for use.
Turn the knob corresponding to the burner to
be used to the position required. The pilot light
near the knob and the residual heat light come
on.
As soon as the knob is turned the burner lights
completely automatically: a pulsing noise
indicates that the safety and gas control
systems have been activated and are working
correctly.

Switch off the cooktop by pressing button .
The pilot light goes out.
N.B.:

automatically.

recognises the abnormal situation, turns off
the burner involved, sounds a warning and
flashes “0”. In this case turn the knob to “0”.
If at the end of cooking the cooktop is not
switched off by pressing button , after a few
minutes pilot light begins to flash and an
acoustic signal is given, until the cooktop is
switched off.
This obligatory switching off function reduces
the consumption of electricity when the
product is not working and also makes sure that
the product cannot be switched on by accident
(knocking the knobs, faults, etc....)
If the cooktop is used for too long, the display
indicates “H” and the cooktop switches off
until the electronic components cool down. The
indication “H” then flashes. Turn the knob to
“0” and light the burners again, if necessary.
