General notes
Observe the local regulations. If installing into a combustible material, the guidelines and standards for fire protection must be
complied with.
Electrical connections must be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with the guidelines and standards
for low-voltage installations and the specifications of the local electricity supply companies.
A plug-in appliance may only be connected to a socket outlet with earthing contact, installed according to specifications. An
all-pole mains isolating device with 3 mm contact opening should be provided in the house wiring system. Switches, plug and
socket devices, circuit breakers and fusible cut-outs which are accessible after installation and which have all-poles switching
are permissible as isolating devices. Effective earthing and separately installed neutral and earth conductors ensure safe and
fault-free operation. After installation, live parts and cables with basic insulation must not be accessible. Check old installa-
tions.
▸ Refer to the identification plate for information on the required mains voltage, current type and fuse protection.
The appliance is available with left- and right-door opening.
The declared energy consumption was determined with a kitchen cabinet depth of 560 mm. The appliance is fully
functional with a kitchen cabinet depth of 550 mm but will have a slightly increased level of energy consumption.

▸ Check niche width. Width and height of appliance and niche must fit exactly.
▸ Check ventilation opening in niche.

Allow a 200cm² opening top and bottom to ensure proper ventilation.
a) Use the hinge bolts supplied if the door leaf thickness exceeds 19mm.
ð This restricts the opening angle to 90°.
Installing
▸ Place appliance in front of niche and insert mains plug.
▸ If door opening is to be changed, push appliance halfway into niche and change door opening (see corresponding section).
▸ Move bottle drawer (depending on model) sideways, according to corresponding section.
For EURO standard appliances:
▸ clean the side panel and affix the filler strip. The filler strip must be requested at the same time as ordering the appliance.

Changing door opening direction
Appliance door
The direction in which the door opens can be changed from right to left up as long as the appliance has not yet been fully in-
stalled in the niche.
The hinge cover is asymmetrical. If the direction in which the door opens is changed, a corresponding new hinge cover must
be used.
