accordingtoFIG.3-3.KAMCONTROLS
recommendsinstallingtheOOD™sensorata2or
10o’clockpositiontoensurethetipoftheprobe
remainsintheuid.Afullopeningballvalveis
usedtoisolatetheOOD™sensorfromthepipeline
duringinstallationorremoval.Thesealhousingof
theOOD™sensorallowstheopticalprobetobe
insertedandremovedfromthepipeunderpressure
andowconditions.Itistheuser’sresponsibilityto
ensurethattheOOD™sensorisplacedatthemost
representativepointwithintheowprole.The
OOD™sensorshouldbeinsertedsothatthetipof
theprobeislocated1/4"abovetheinnerwallofthe
pipeline.Thisensuresthattheprobeisnot
damagedwhenpiggingthepipeline.
NOTE1:aKAMSMPStaticMixingPlateshouldbe
installedpriortotheOODtoensurehomogeneity

insideoftheendofthesealhousingorseal

Placeamarkwithasharpieorapermanent
markerontheshaftattheedgeofthelocking
