Assembly & Setup

Star Trac Treadclimber E-TC

Use the checklist below to ensure proper installation of Star Trac Treadclimber E-TC:

 Ensure all parts and hardware are accounted for prior to assembly

 Follow the instructions in the owner’s manual when removing the unit from the pallet

 Remove any shrouds necessary when transporting the unit to the desired area

 Use two people when moving the unit

 Ensure that all the bolts are tightened to the specified torque values outlined in the installation manual

 Verify all connections are made correctly to the base of the unit

 Verify handrail “beauty rings” are installed in the correct orientation

 Verify that all the upper display connections are installed in the correct location on the display electronics

 Verify the torque on the motor mount bolts to be 19 ft lbs or 25 Nm reference Doc 637-1538

 Verify the alignment of the drive belt to the motor pulley – reference DOC 637-1517 Rev B

 Test the transmission belts for correct tension and alignment (tension as needed) perform the 45lb dumbbell

test to ensure accurate treadle fall 637-1560 Rev: B

 Verify the heart rate function through the maintenance mode and the program mode using hand grips and

polar strap

 Take the unit through “motor calibration” in the maintenance mode

 Perform the “treadle sensor” test in the maintenance mode utilizing both left and tight treadle

 Verify all user functions of the unit are in good working order – hot bar including the emergency pull stop,

pause/stop button, speed/incline keys, heart rate, fan keypad, quick start/ stop, and general keypad overlay

 Install all shrouds so they are free from gaps and are flush with each other using the appropriate hardware

 Use the unit in the “Alpine Pass” program for 2-3mins to ensure overall proper function of the unit

 Verify there are no noises present during use

 Retract the transport wheels upon final placement of the unit using a 30mm socket head

 Overall visual & cosmetic inspection: All equipment is to be wiped down and checked for defects prior to

leaving the facility. Installer is to contact an authorized Core Health & Fitness representative while on site, if

there are any issues that have not been resolved.
