Turning the PERSONAL SOUND™ On / O
1. On: Simply close the battery door.
2. O: When you are not wearing your PERSONAL
SOUND™, keep the battery door open to extend
battery life. Fully opening the battery door also
allows internal moisture to evaporate which
keeps device electronics working well.
• Hold your PERSONAL SOUND™ between your
middle nger and thumb. Using your index
nger place the device in the ear canal with
the speaker pointed toward the eardrum. The
D-Ring will prevent the device from being
inserted too deeply into the canal.
• Curl the D-Ring along the contours of your ear.
Allergic reactions to hearing devices are unlikely. However if you
experience skin irritation, redness, swelling or soreness in or around your
ears, please contact your physician.

Program Settings
Your PERSONAL SOUND™ from Able Planet has

to enhance intelligibility in varying listening
environments (ie watching T.V or talking in noisy
restaurants). Make sure to spend time using each of
the four programs to understand when each of these
programs works best.
To change between the listening programs, cup your

Caring for your PERSONAL SOUND
Do your best to keep your PERSONAL SOUND™ clean
and dry at all times.
• Clean your device with a dry cloth. Do not rinse
or submerge the device in water.
• Do not use water, alcohol, or other liquid agents

Technical Specications
Hearing abilities are like ngerprints. Everyone hears
dierently. The hardest to hear sounds are in the
high frequencies and hearing abilities can vary by
ear. Many people, even those with normal hearing,
struggle to hear in noisy environments, or through
heavy bass sounds. LINX® DSP amplies hard to hear
frequencies while reducing background noise to
enhance sound quality and clarity.
