Instruction Guide
Visor submarino Télescope sous-marin
Das Unterwasser-Sichtgerät
Before using your SeaScope for the first time, insert 3 AAA batteries
into the battery compartment, following the instructions at the end of this guide.
Pull the center tube out of the main body until it clicks into place. Insert the end
of the SeaScope into the water. Look through the eyepiece. Focus by sliding the
focusing tube in and out. If you need more light in order to see, press the power
button to turn on the light.
Because the lens magnifies the image five times, it is hard to know a specimens
size. Use the ruler on your SeaScope to find out how big your specimens
actually are. Record your findings. Also, note the temperature on the
SeaScope thermometer and record it. Different living things thrive at different
temperatures.
The surrounding temperature is highlighted on the SeaScope thermometer.
If a temperature is clearly highlighted in green, that is the temperature. If more
than one temperature is highlighted, the exact temperature is in between the
highlighted numbers.
Caring for Your SeaScope
The SeaScope main body is water resistant, but water, dirt, or sand may
accidentally get inside. If this happens, clean and dry the unit as soon as
possible. To clean, separate all three tubes. Pull firmly on the focusing tube to
remove it from the center tube. Turn the attachment ring counterclockwise to
loosen the ring. Then pull firmly on the center tube to remove it from the main
body. Rinse the inside of the tubes with fresh water. Use a towel to dry all parts.
If using in salt water (such as the ocean), always rinse in fresh water after use in
order to remove the salt.
Use your GeoSafari
®
SeaScope
®
to explore the awesome underwater world.
Explore a pond, stream, lake, tide pool, or even a swimming pool. You can
even stay dry while you explore underwater. Just submerge the end of your
SeaScope in the water while on land or in a boat. Make sure an adult is with you.
Do not explore alone!
Lets Explore Your SeaScope
Caution: SeaScope floats. Hold your SeaScope firmly when placing it in water.
If you let go, it will pop out of the water and may cause injury.
You can use the SeaScope without the 5x magnification. Unscrew the center
tube from the main body. View your object through only the main body. This will
give you a wider field of view. Because you are looking at the object through
both water and air, the image will still be naturally magnified. Try observing both
with and without the 5x magnification to see the difference.

Battery Installation Instructions
1. Use a coin to carefully open the battery compartment
on the top of your SeaScope.
2. Insert 3 AAA batteries as shown in the diagram. For best results, always
use fresh alkaline batteries. Other battery types will have a shorter life.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard
(carbon zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• Do not recharge nonrechargeable batteries.
• Remove rechargeable batteries from the SeaScope before recharging.
• Only charge rechargeable batteries under adult supervision.
• Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended.
• Insert batteries with the correct polarity.
• Remove exhausted batteries from the unit.
• Do not short circuit the supply terminals.
To prevent corrosion and possible damage to the product, we
recommend removing the batteries from the unit if it will not be
used for more than two weeks.
3. Close the compartment door and tighten the screw.
Diferentes organismos vivos proliferan a diferentes temperaturas.
¡No explores solo!

More fun awaits!
