To ensure the Proximus TV works properly, you must first install the modem
(see modem installation guide) and then the decoder.
If the decoder replaces another decoder, you must first deactivate your current decoder. This way you can make the most of the services provided by your new device and you can also watch and record
simultaneously. Call 0800 99 696 free of charge and follow the instructions. Make sure you have a recent Proximus bill at hand (you will need your customer number and your fixed line number).

4 Tips
No wiring between the modem and the decoder?
Use an ethernet adapter (PLC) via the mains network or the
Wi-Fi Bridge for a wireless solution. These devices are available at
all Proximus outlets. You can also order them by calling freephone
number 0800 33 800 or on our website www.proximus.be/tv
If you want to connect an additional TV, you must also connect an additional
decoder. Go to www.proximus.be/tvavailability to check if this is possible at your
address. Connecting an additional decoder will aect both viewing and recording,
whether in HD quality or not. You can change the order in which the HD is tuned to
your decoders by deactivating and then reactivating them in the desired order. For
deactivation, call 0800 99 696. You can subsequently reactivate the decoders
yourself (see point 2
c
). First activate the decoder on which you want HD.
Do you want to hide your decoder in a closed cupboard? Infrared Extenders are
now on the market. Place the receiver opposite the remote control. The emitter is
placed in the cupboard and is connected to the decoder. Communication can then be
established, even if the cupboard door is closed. Various models are available. You
can purchase the device in an electronics store.

Prior to calling our technical department, restart your TV equipment in the following order:
first the modem, then the adapter (if available), and finally, the decoder. You can contact our
technical support free of charge from Mondays to Fridays from 07:00 to 22:00 and during
weekends from 08:00 to 22:00 on 0800 33 800.
Ideally please call us from the place where you are experiencing the problem so that we can
resolve it together. Better still, call from your mobile phone so that we can test your fixed line
straight away, so you don't need to call back.
Make sure you have your last bill at hand - you will need your line number(s) ("subscriptions"
heading). New customers will find this information in their confirmation letter.
