Introduction
The MIL-RM3U is a six slot rack mount assembly, which fits into a standard 3U
rack (there will be a 3/4" gap from the top of the unit to the next device up). The
device is capable of supporting up to six media converters and transceivers,
including MiLAN's MIL-225, MIL-240, and MIL-250. A power supply is included
(located at the rear of the MIL-RM3U).

• Autosensing power supply: 110/220 VAC with an
IEC connector
Installation
1. Remove the assembled base, cover, and bag of screws from the shipping box.
2. Unravel the power cord and make sure it is able to reach an AC outlet when
the MIL-RM3U is finally installed into a standard 19" rack.
3. Install the first media converter/tranceiver into the slot nearest the
power supply.
Note: Make any adjustments to the converter/transceiver "before" installing the
device into the MIL-RM3U.
4. Connect the cord connector from the power supply into the power receptacle
on the converter/tranceiver. Do this for each device installed into the
MIL-RM3U.
5. Install any other converter/transceiver into the MIL-RM3U.
6. Attach the cover of the unit to the base assembly. Use the screws supplied.
7. Install the MIL-RM3U into a 19" rack. Refer to the 19" rack's documentation for
instructions on installing the MIL-RM3U.
8. Use the tie wrap to secure and store the power supply cord
Five-Year Limited Warranty
MiLAN Technology warrants to the original consumer or purchaser that each of its products,
and all components thereof, will be free from defects in material and/or workmanship for a
period of five years from the original factory shipment date. Any warranty hereunder is
extended to the original consumer or purchaser and is not assignable.
MiLAN Technology makes no express or implied warranties including, but not limited to, any
implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except as expressly set
forth in this warranty. In no event shall MiLAN Technology be liable for incidental or
consequential damages, costs, or expenses arising out of or in connection with the
performance of the product delivered hereunder. MiLAN Technology will in no case cover
damages arising out of the product being used in a negligent fashion or manner.
