WIRELESS IR BLASTER

PART DECSRIPTION

IR BLASTER SETTING AND PAIRING

If you have the IR blaster installed, you can control the peripheral

devices connected to the TV with the LG TV remote app using the

Magic remote control or a smartphone.

Indicator

1. Within 7 meters(22 Feet) from the TV, Press the pairing button

on the IR blaster for about 2 seconds

2. The LED indicator of the IR blaster turns on and the pairing

status is displayed on the TV screen.

* If the paring failure message appears, reboot the IR blaster

and press the pairing button again.

3. When pairing is complete, install the IR blaster within 50 cm (1.5

feet) of the external device(s) within 45 degrees of the of the IR

sensor.

* Do not place any obstacles that may interfere the reception

between the IR blaster and the IR receiver of the external

device.

4. Set the Universal Control using the Magic remote control.

* Press the pairing button for 5 seconds or more to restart the

pairing.

* Do not throw or roll the IR blaster

OPERATING ENVIROMENT

1. If multiple set-top boxes and media devices are used or the

media device is in a place where the IR signal from the remote

cannot be received, the IR blaster transmits the IR signals to the

external devices.

INSTALLING BATTERIES

1. Hold the top and bottom

cases together and turn the

top case counter-clockwise

to split them.

2. Press the label on the

battery cover to open it.

3. Insert new four Alkaline AA

batteries according to the

polarity symbols (+ and -)

marked and close

4. Align the top and bottom

cases and turn the top case

clockwise.

2. When using the LG remote app on your smartphone, you can

control an external device through the IR blaster.

(Only when

using the Universal Remote function)

(1) After replacement of the battery, use the IR blaster following

pairing in accordance with user manual.

(2) If the unit does not operate after replacement of battery, take

the battery out and reattempt pairing in accordance with the

user manual.

(3) If the IR blaster is not being used for a prolonged period of

time, it is recommendable you remove the battery from the

unit.

(4) Do not dismantle or exert heat to the battery.

(5) Do not drop battery or exert extreme impact that may even

cause the case to be damaged.

(6) Do not immerse the battery in water.

(7) There is danger of explosion if the battery is inserted

reversely.

(8) Discard the used battery into designated location.
