1. INTRODUCTION
The On-Q/Legrand Category 5 LCD Module (P/N CM1003) and LCD Flat Panel Display (P/N F2297-XX)
(see Figure 1) integrate seamlesly with our Camera Solution. The Display Module supplies power and video
signals for up to two Flat Panel Displays, allowing the homeowner to easily monitor various places
throughout the house, such as the front door area or a baby's room.
2. DESCRIPTION
The Category 5 LCD Display Module acts as the interface between On-Q Cameras and the On-Q
LCD Flat Panel Display. Features include:
• One wire installation — power and video are supplied over a Cat 5e cable to each display
• Built-in sleep timer which shuts off the connected LCD Display Units after 1/2 hour (28 minutes)
• Camera number markings which correspond with switch on the LCD Display Unit
• Easy to install and configure
• Included One-Bay Module Mounting Bracket (P/N 364890-01) Included (see Figure 2)
• The Display Module is available in White (-WH), Light Almond (-LA), Ivory (-IV) and Black (-BK).
3. INSTALLATION
Refer to Figure 4 during installation.
1. Home-run one Cat 5e cable from the enclosure to the Cat 5 LCD Display, which is typically installed in a
deep triple-gang box.
2. Terminate both ends of the Cat 5e line, using RJ-45 connectors, from the LCD display module and
monitor to the T568A wiring standard shown in Figure 3.
3. Insert the RJ-45 plug at the Cat 5 LCD Display into the RJ-45 jack located on the rear circuit board.
4. Insert the RJ-45 plugs at the Cat 5 LCD Display Module into either of the two RJ-45 jacks labeled "Out
To Display"
5. Connect up to two RCA cables from the Cat 5 Camera Module to the LCD Display Module. In the
example shown in Figure 4, the video feed from the infrared camera is routed to the Cam1 input on the display module. The
video feeds from the two bullet cameras (and the infrared camera) are sequenced and routed to the Cam2 input on the
display module. In this case, flipping the toggle switch on the LCD monitor to "I" displays the infrared camera video feed
continuously. Flipping the toggle switch to "II" displays and loops the sequenced video feeds from all three cameras. The
rate at which they sequence is controlled on the Cat 5 Camera Module.
6. Apply power to the Cat 5 LCD Module and verify system functionality.
