Camera Installation
Guide
BNC Connectivity
1- Locate an included 60 ft. BNC
cable.
2- Connect a camera to one end of
the cable by matching the BNC
connectors (yellow) and DC
power connectors (red).
3- Audio enabled cameras will have
an additional (white) RCA
connection.
4- Plug BNC connector on the other
end of the cable into a Video
Input port on the back panel of
the DVR.
5- Repeat for each camera, noting
the channel number each camera
is plugged into.
6- Locate the included power
splitter.
7- Connect the power splitter to the
remaining DC power connectors
(red) of the BNC cables.
8- Plug the power splitter into the
camera power adapter, then plug
camera power adapter into an
available wall outlet or UPS.
(Night Owl recommends using a
surge protector)
POE Connectivity
1- Locate an included 60 ft. POE
camera cable.
2- Connect one end of the cable to
the connector attached to the
camera.
3- Plug the other end into a Video
Input port on the back of the
NVR.
4- Repeat for each camera, noting
the channel number each camera
is plugged into.
