Baby Lock BLQK-BG Operating instructions

  • Hello! I've reviewed the provided instruction document for the Baby Lock Braiding Guide BLQK-BG. The document outlines how to attach and use the braiding guide for sewing small, flat trims. It covers recommended materials and provides a step-by-step guide to usage. I'm ready to answer your questions about it.
  • What kind of fabrics are recommended for use?
What type of tapes or braids are recommended?
Are round cords and yarns recommended?
Small sewing braids can be guided in front of the foot and
stitched down by the machine, much like a braiding foot.
Perfect for small, flat trims.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Fabrics used:
Lightweight and medium weight fabrics
Tapes used:
Lightweight flat tapes and braids or serger chain
created by an overlock or cover stitch.
For best results, round cords and yarns are not
recommended.
1. Loosen the fixing screw located on the back of the
presser foot holder.
2. Insert the straight end of the braiding guide into the right

3. Adjust the guide to align the spiral opening of the
guide with the front opening of the presser foot.
4. Tighten the screw.
5. Insert tape or braid into the spiral opening of the
guide.
6. Insert tape or braid into the front opening of the
presser foot and place the tape under the presser foot,
keeping the tape out of the needle clearance area.
Start sewing slowly.
NOTE: Guide fabric only, not the tape. If necessary,
stop machine to untangle tape so it flows freely
and tangle free through the spiral opening.
