INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
MR-XPS Expansion Transformer
for FX-2200 Fire
Alarm Control Panel
The addition of the MR-XPS Expansion Transformer increases the NAC power output
of the FX-2200.
Parts List
• Qty 1 ... 120V Transfomer
• Qty 4 ... No. 6 Flange Nuts
• Qty 2 ... Fast on Adapter
Installing the MR-XPS
1. Power down the panel.
2. Position the MR-XPS on the Expansion Transformer Location, to the right of the
transformer.
3. Secure the MR-XPS to the back plate using the No. 6 flange nuts.
4. Attach the white/black wires to the AC terminal block.
5. Attach the red/blue wires to the Bridge Rectifier as follows (see Figure 1):
• Two blue wires in the lower left-hand corner
• Two red wires in the upper right-hand corner
Note: Increasing the Alarm Load of the panel will require recalculation of the battery
size. Refer to the Battery Calculation work sheet included with your panel.

Important!
Mircom recommends that the entire system be completely tested on a regular basis.
However, despite frequent testing and due to but not limited to, criminal tampering or
electrical disruption, it is possible for this product to fail to perform as expected.
