DK Digital DWS-100 is a weather station that measures temperature inside and outside. The device requires two “AG 13” batteries and can display time in both 12 and 24-hour formats. To set the time, use the HOUR and MIN buttons. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, use the °C/°F button. To view the maximum or minimum temperature measured, press the MIN/MAX button. The device can also display a frost symbol when the outside temperature reaches between +4 and –1 °C. To reset the device, press the button behind the RESET opening on the back side.

Inserting batteries

The weatherstation needs 2 x “AG 13” batteries.

Ø

Open the battery compartment. Unscrew the screw fixing

the battery compartment cover using a small screw driver

for recessed-head screws.

Ø

Remove the battery compartment cover and take out the

batteries (if necessary).

Ø

Insert two unused batteries (type “AG 13”) so that their

+ poles faces the outside. When doing so, you have to

comply exactly with the correct polarity, otherwise the

weather station will not function and may get damaged.

Ø To ensure a longer and more useful economic life, you

should use Alkaline batteries.

Ø

Close the respective battery compartment.

Ø

Batteries must not be disposed of in domestic

waste. Please hand in used batteries at the proper

collection point or at the place where you have

bought the new ones. Never throw batteries into

fire.

Setting the time

Ø

Press the HOUR key repeatedly until the desired number

of hours is displayed.

Ø

Press the MIN key repeatedly until the desired number of

minutes is displayed.

Ø

To change the time display format from 12-hour to 24-

hour format push the 12/24 key for one second. When the

desired format flashes for 2 seconds, it is set.

Temperature measurement

Ø

If you would like to also measure the outside

temperature, place the device near a window.

Ø

Peel off the foil of the outside sensor and stick it to a

suitable smooth surface outside, possibly on the outside

of the window.

Ø

If you press the MIN/MAX button once, the display will

show for 5 seconds the maximum temperature measured

so far.

Ø

If you press the MIN/MAX button twice, the display will

show for 5 seconds the minimum temperature measured

so far.

Ø

If you press the CLEAR button during these 5 seconds, the

value will be deleted.

Ø

The symbol on the right of the temperature shows the

temperature trend:

: temperature rise by more than 1 °/hour,

: temperature fall by more than 1 °/hour,

: constant temperature.

In order to set back the trend measurements, press the

CLEAR button during normal display.

Ø

In order to switch the unit of the temperature display

between Fahrenheit and Celsius, shortly press the °C / °F

buttons.

Ø

If the outside temperature should reach a value between

+4 and –1 °C, a snowflake will appear on the display as a

frost symbol.

Reset device

Ø

If the device functions seem to be faulty or if you would

like to reset all settings, press carefully with a sharp

object on the button behind the RESET opening on the

back side of the device.
